Even though it's a floating property, the rooms are cozy and comfortable, perfect for relaxing after a busy day. My only minor note is that toilet paper and tissues weren’t available anywhere—even inside the rooms—which might be more of a local norm rather than a hotel oversight. But honestly, that didn’t take away from my amazing experience. I absolutely loved this hotel and would 100% recommend it to friends and family. A true gem in Kolkata!

I was really impressed with my stay at The Stadel overall—everything exceeded my expectations. The only minor quirk was the pool schedule, which runs until 9:00 PM and then reopens at 6:00 PM, leaving a gap in between—slightly confusing but not a dealbreaker. Also, towels in the pool area are charged, which I found a bit surprising, though it’s a small thing. That said, these didn’t detract from the excellent experience at all. The staff truly made the difference—special thanks to the front desk team, especially Sony, the bar staff at the Egyptian Bar, the manager, and the restaurant waitstaff. Everyone was warm, professional, and attentive. The ambiance is elegant, the location is convenient, and the value for money is outstanding. I’ll definitely recommend this hotel to friends and colleagues—and I’m already planning to come back myself.
