Staying at Jolie Ville Hotel & Spa Kings Island Luxor was a truly memorable experience. Being on a private island, the security is top-notch—there's a second checkpoint upon entry and exit, and even the driver’s ID is checked, which gives you peace of mind. The room itself is a bit dated, but the air conditioning works perfectly and keeps the space cool and comfortable. Cleanliness is excellent—everything felt fresh and well-maintained. The surroundings are far superior to other areas in Luxor: peaceful, serene, and beautifully landscaped. I didn’t manage to wake up early for the sunrise hot air balloon ride (a missed opportunity!), but watching the sunset along the Nile River from the property was absolutely stunning. One downside: the airport transfer can be frustrating. While the app price is only around 80 EGP (~$12 USD), drivers often try to charge up to $25—way over the market rate. It’s disappointing when this happens, especially since guests expect transparency. That said, the overall value, tranquility, and unique island setting make this hotel a standout choice. Highly recommend it for travelers seeking comfort and authenticity in Luxor.
Iberotel Luxor
Staying at Iberotel Luxor was a highlight of our trip to Luxor. Located right at the end of the main hotel street, it’s just steps away from the scenic Nile River promenade on the East Bank, with plenty of dining options nearby. The Winter Palace and Luxor Temple are both within a 10-minute walk—perfect for morning strolls. While Karnak Temple is a bit farther, a short taxi ride (about 10 minutes, around 50 EGP) gets you there quickly. The room was spacious, and while the furnishings were a bit dated, everything was clean and well-maintained—especially the bedding. The mattress was firm and supportive, not one of those sinking-in types, which made for a great night’s sleep. Breakfast was easily the best we had in Egypt—far more variety than at other hotels we’ve stayed at, including the famous Old Falls Hotel. It’s a real gem in terms of value and location, and I’d definitely return without hesitation.

Staying at Pyramisa Hotel Luxor was an absolutely fantastic experience. The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully designed—plus, we were upgraded to a Nile-view room at no extra cost, which was such a lovely surprise. The balcony was huge, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the views of the Nile, especially during sunset. I was thrilled to find a bathtub in the bathroom—very luxurious for a desert city like Luxor. When we requested a late checkout due to our travel schedule, they happily accommodated us until 2:00 PM with no additional charge. What stood out most was the hotel’s welcoming attitude toward Chinese guests—the staff spoke fluent Mandarin, making communication smooth and stress-free. I also noticed many female staff members working there, which made me feel safe and well taken care of as a solo traveler. Overall, this hotel offers excellent value, top-notch service, and a truly memorable stay. Definitely worth returning to.

Oasis Hotel
This has been the best hostel I've stayed at in Egypt so far. Karam, the host, was incredibly welcoming and friendly from the very first moment. He greeted us with a warm cup of tea, sped up check-in even though I arrived early, and made sure I could head straight to my room to rest. He provided excellent recommendations for city tours and gave thoughtful advice on every activity we considered. The hostel is spacious but never feels cold or impersonal—there’s a real sense of community. While the beds could use some improvement, the room and bathroom conditions are clean and well-maintained. The staff truly deserves a 10 out of 10. A standout experience that makes this place feel like home.
