Staying at Cleopatra Hotel Luxor was an absolute highlight of my trip to Egypt. The owner’s hospitality is outstanding—always ready to help with any request, making solo travel feel safe and comfortable, especially for a woman traveling alone. The rooftop view overlooking the Valley of the Kings is breathtaking, especially in the morning when you enjoy breakfast there. The breakfast spread is generous and delicious: fresh bread, cheese, eggs, tomatoes, cucumbers, hummus, fries, falafel, and tea—satisfying and full of local flavors. The location is super convenient; I used inDrive to book rides easily, and the front desk even has a water dispenser for guests. Cleanliness is impressive for the price point—far better than most places I’ve stayed in Egypt. For such a great value, this hotel offers comfort, charm, and peace of mind. I’d definitely return and recommend it to anyone visiting Luxor.

My mom and I stayed in a ground-floor apartment, and since she has mobility challenges, the property truly accommodated her needs with thoughtful design—level floors, a spacious walk-in wet room with a washing machine, and easy access to the pool area. The daily cleaning was exceptional, keeping everything spotless and fresh. Our unit faced the lovely pool, shaded by an elegant sun canopy with ceiling fans that kept us cool during the hot days. The view across the Nile was breathtaking—serene, picturesque, and full of charm. We were lucky to hear frogs croaking at night, then wake up to see a mother buffalo and her calf grazing peacefully along the riverbank—moments that made our trip unforgettable. The staff are warm, polite, and genuinely helpful—no request was too small. Local restaurants and a convenient shop are just steps away, and river taxis offer quick trips for mini cruises or adventures down the Nile. This is more than just a stay—it’s an experience. The hospitality was outstanding, and it made our holiday truly special. We’re already planning to return in 2024. Iberotel Luxor
Staying at Iberotel Luxor was a highlight of our trip to Luxor. Located right at the end of the main hotel street, it’s just steps away from the scenic Nile River promenade on the East Bank, with plenty of dining options nearby. The Winter Palace and Luxor Temple are both within a 10-minute walk—perfect for morning strolls. While Karnak Temple is a bit farther, a short taxi ride (about 10 minutes, around 50 EGP) gets you there quickly. The room was spacious, and while the furnishings were a bit dated, everything was clean and well-maintained—especially the bedding. The mattress was firm and supportive, not one of those sinking-in types, which made for a great night’s sleep. Breakfast was easily the best we had in Egypt—far more variety than at other hotels we’ve stayed at, including the famous Old Falls Hotel. It’s a real gem in terms of value and location, and I’d definitely return without hesitation.

I highly recommend trying Kazaz for both their food and refreshing drinks; everything tasted fresh, and the prices were very reasonable. Overall, this hotel offers excellent value and a welcoming atmosphere, perfect for travelers looking for comfort and convenience in Luxor.
