It’s only a 10-minute downhill walk to the famous *****, which is easy and pleasant to stroll. For the return trip, I’d recommend taking a taxi—only about 200 TL (roughly £5), which is a small price for convenience after a long day. Overall, an excellent stay with great value and a welcoming vibe.

The room was cleaned daily to a very high standard—no worries about cleanliness at all. There were no crowded sunbed areas either; I always found a peaceful spot to unwind. The food was fantastic—except for three evening meals, I enjoyed breakfast, lunch, and dinner right at the hotel. There was a great variety of dishes, and everything tasted fresh and delicious. Service was excellent throughout my entire 11-day stay. Honestly, I loved it so much that while having lunch, I already booked my next visit for June. This place is ideal if you’re looking to just chill out or use as a base to explore Hisaronu and Oludeniz. If you’re after something fast-paced, this might not be your vibe—but if you want peace, comfort, and genuine hospitality, this is the perfect spot. During our trip to Turkey, we stayed in different hotels every single day—over ten places in total—and this one truly stood out as the best. The room was enormous, and what really made it special was the two-person jacuzzi with a panoramic window overlooking a small garden filled with olive trees and cypress. We were staying in a private cottage with a cozy little courtyard and a couple of comfortable loungers—perfect for unwinding. Everything you’d need was there: fridge, hairdryer, all in excellent working order and spotlessly clean. The property itself is beautifully landscaped, with a spacious pool, inviting sunbeds, and lounge areas. The views of the surrounding mountains are simply breathtaking. It’s especially convenient for travelers driving, just about 5 km from the town center. And if you’re into hiking, there’s an easy access road nearby leading straight up to Mount Babadag. Özay Bey was incredibly helpful, guiding us to nearby markets and recommending authentic local restaurants where we enjoyed delicious home-cooked meals. He also helped us plan our sightseeing itinerary, making sure we didn’t waste time wandering aimlessly. We even booked a boat tour through him—it came at a great price, far better than other options we’d seen elsewhere. Starting our days early meant avoiding traffic, which made all the difference. The garden is full of fruit trees, adding such charm and freshness to the space. Truly a special place. We can’t thank Özay Bey and his family enough—they went above and beyond. This is the kind of stay you’ll want to return to again and again. A solid 10/10 from us.

Nestled in the quiet hillside village of Ovacik, just above the bustling Hisarönü area, Forever Hotel offers a peaceful retreat with easy access to shops, restaurants, and nightlife—just a short dolmuş ride or affordable taxi away from the beachy vibe of Ölüdeniz. While it’s not right on the sea, the views of Mount Babadağ behind the property are absolutely worth it. The hotel is small and family-run, with only 19 rooms, each thoughtfully furnished with just what you need—no clutter, no frills. Free Wi-Fi is strong throughout, with two routers covering both rooms and the bar area. Air conditioning and safes are available for an extra fee, and while there’s no TV or kettle, every room has a hairdryer, a spacious bathroom with a generous walk-in rain shower, and hot water that never fails. The balconies are compact, but the top-floor rooms feature a lovely terrace perfect for morning coffee. Wardrobes are practical with ample hangers and drawers, plus a small dressing table. Recently upgraded to electronic key cards—smooth and reliable. Rooms are spotless, cleaned regularly by Alif, who goes above and beyond: she neatly arranged all my toiletries and lined up my shoes by the wall—such a thoughtful touch! The pool is well-maintained and inviting, with plenty of loungers (though some could use cushions) and shade umbrellas. Pool towels are high quality and available for a refundable £10 deposit. The gardens are stunning—rose bushes, statues, perfectly manicured lawns, topiary art, and stylish hammock chairs. There’s a cozy bar area and a shaded dining space—ideal when spring nights get chilly, so we often dined indoors. Next to the bar, a large gazebo provides comfortable seating under the shade. Food and drinks are excellent. Breakfast features authentic Turkish staples: yogurt, honey, fresh bread, olives, cheeses, tomatoes, eggs, and a different daily specialty dish—don’t expect full English, though they’ll prepare it for lunch. Fruit selection is a bit limited, but local markets nearby make it easy to grab more. Coffee is decent at breakfast, but the espresso machine shines throughout the day. Four dinners per week are served in-house—varied starters, mains, and pleasant desserts. I’d prefer if mains weren’t served simultaneously with starters, as the heat can drop quickly. Lunch is self-pay but absolutely worth it—freshly cooked, diverse menu, and a freezer stocked with unique ice creams. Drinks are very reasonably priced: a 500ml bottle of Efes beer costs just 150 TL (~£3). Cocktails are creative and well-made. Overall, it’s a tranquil stay, though there’s ongoing construction next door—minimal noise and not disruptive. A large mosque just down the road means the call to prayer echoes early in the morning, but it adds character rather than annoyance.
