The Bob W Mitte hotel is absolutely lovely—clean, well-maintained, and located in a great spot for exploring Berlin. The only downside I noticed was the phone-based door locking system, which felt a bit impractical. If your phone battery dies or the device malfunctions, you’re locked out—no way in. It’s also a hassle that you need to open a Wi-Fi link every time to lock the door. If the network drops or you’re without mobile data, you can’t secure the room either. Personally, I’d prefer if the same access code used at the bottom of the door worked from the top as well. That said, these are minor gripes. The hotel itself is excellent overall—great comfort, smart design, and fantastic value. Definitely worth staying at if you're visiting Berlin.

I really hope a new owner takes it over and keeps up the tradition of offering clean, reliable, and affordable accommodation in one of Berlin’s most lively areas. Still, it didn’t detract much from the comfort, especially considering how close we were to everything. The front desk staff were incredibly polite and helpful throughout our stay. From check-in to checkout, they made us feel welcome. Despite the compact room size, the value for money was excellent. I’d definitely stay here again if I’m back in Berlin.
