NewLivingHome Residenzhotel Hamburg

We were thoroughly impressed with our stay! The rooms are spacious and perfect for four guests, impeccably clean and tastefully decorated. Breakfast was delicious with a great variety of options, and the staff were warm and welcoming. The indoor pool is a real highlight—well-maintained and relaxing, definitely a standout feature. Location-wise, it’s unbeatable—right next to Tierpark Hagenbeck U-Bahn station, making travel around Hamburg super convenient. Plus, free outdoor parking on-site means no need to pay for underground garage spots—huge plus for drivers. One hiccup: during check-in, we discovered that only one of our two booked rooms was available. It turned out there was a system glitch between the booking platform and the hotel’s reservation system. We were understandably concerned, but the hotel went above and beyond by securing us another room even though the property was fully booked. Their quick response and willingness to help made a big difference. Overall, this place offers exceptional value, comfort, and service—definitely a top choice for future visits.

Hotel Engel

My stay at Hotel Engel was absolutely fantastic! The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, going the extra mile to make sure everything was perfect. The breakfast was outstanding—rich in variety and deliciously prepared. I even ordered a huge, mouthwatering Kaiserschmarrn at 9 PM and took it back to my room to enjoy in peace—what a treat! The kitchen team deserves special praise for their excellent service, both in the restaurant and beyond. Every detail felt thoughtfully taken care of, and the overall experience exceeded all expectations. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Hamburg.

Hotel am Beatles-Platz

Staying at Hotel am Beatles-Platz was an absolute highlight of our trip to Hamburg. Located right in the heart of the Reeperbahn district, it’s perfect for travelers who want to be in the middle of the action. The area is naturally lively and energetic—expect some noise, especially at night—but that’s part of the charm! This isn’t a quiet residential neighborhood, so if you’re looking for peace and quiet, this might not be the spot. But for us, the vibrant atmosphere was exactly what we wanted. The hotel itself is modern, clean, and well-designed with comfortable beds and excellent service. We felt safe, well-located, and totally immersed in the city vibe. Highly recommend for anyone who loves urban energy and doesn’t mind a little buzz around the corner.

Best Western Raphael Hotel Altona

I had a fantastic stay at Best Western Raphael Hotel Altona in Hamburg, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. The rooms are newly renovated with a modern, clean aesthetic—very inviting. While the single room is on the smaller side and a bit snug, it’s still functional and well-equipped for a comfortable night’s sleep. One minor drawback: there’s no automatic ventilation system, so you’re reliant solely on opening the two windows for airflow. This could be an issue during warmer summer months, especially without mosquito nets—something to keep in mind if you’re particularly sensitive to bugs. That said, cleanliness was clearly a top priority—the room felt fresh and well-maintained throughout my visit. The staff went above and beyond by offering a free iron upon request, and their friendly, service-oriented attitude made a big difference. Location-wise, this hotel is unbeatable. Even if you don’t book breakfast, there are plenty of great dining options just steps away. In under 8 minutes’ walk, you’re in the heart of the city—perfect for strolling, browsing shops, or grabbing a coffee. And right outside the door is the train station, making public transport effortless for exploring Hamburg and beyond. I felt completely at ease during my entire stay. With its excellent location, attentive staff, and overall comfort, this hotel delivers real value. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Hotel Commodore

We had a fantastic four-day weekend in Hamburg centered around a football match (Hamburger SV vs. Eintracht Frankfurt). Staying at Hotel Commodore was an absolute delight—the location couldn’t be better. Just a short walk from the Landungsbrücken and Reeperbahn, and the U-Bahn Stadium station is only about 3 minutes away—perfect for catching the game without hassle. The breakfast was outstanding: fresh fruit and vegetables every day, plus a wide variety of cold cuts, cheeses, and freshly baked breads and pastries. The room was clean, spacious enough, and very comfortable. We were especially happy with the complimentary parking—huge plus for those driving. Overall, the experience was flawless, and we’d definitely return. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Hamburg!

Pyjama Park Schanzenviertel

Excellent service—highly recommended! Although our arrival was a bit bumpy, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They even arranged a room change for us the next morning, which was truly thoughtful. The only downside I noticed is that the curtains are quite narrow and too sheer in some rooms, making it hard to block out light completely. I’ve stayed in three different rooms here before, and this has been consistent across all of them. Despite that, the location is fantastic, the vibe is welcoming, and the overall experience is well worth it. Would definitely come back.

The room was cozy, clean, and thoughtfully designed with a literary vibe that made me feel right at home. The staff were warm and helpful, always ready to assist with recommendations or local tips. What truly stood out was the free access to a fully equipped kitchen and a relaxing massage chair in the shared lounge area—such a thoughtful touch for travelers wanting comfort after a long day. It’s not just a place to sleep; it’s a welcoming space where you can unwind and connect with others. Highly recommend this unique stay for book lovers and budget-conscious explorers alike.

The overall experience was excellent, especially for the price. The hotel has all the essentials and feels well-maintained throughout—clean rooms, comfortable beds, and a well-functioning bathroom. It’s located just steps from the U-Bahn station, making it super convenient for getting around Hamburg, whether you're heading to business meetings or exploring the city. The staff were friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with any request. Even though it's a budget-friendly option, the quality of cleanliness and room layout really stands out. I’d definitely stay here again on future trips to Hamburg—great value, great location, and a very pleasant stay overall.

Jugendherberge Hamburg Auf Dem Stintfang-Membership Required

We’re regular visitors to German youth hostels and not overly demanding, but our stay at this Hamburg location was a major disappointment. For the price charged in Hamburg, we were given a micro room with a backyard view — but the layout was poorly designed. The shower, toilet, and sink were located in separate spaces, and when the bed was pulled out, the bathroom door couldn’t close properly. There was no table at all — just a slightly larger windowsill paired with wobbly swivel stools. Who even planned this? The elevator appeared to have been broken for ages, and every vending machine in the common area was non-functional. The bar, which was once a unique selling point, has clearly been closed for a while. Breakfast was repetitive every day — always the same cold cuts with zero variety. On the bright side, the view from the lounge area toward the harbor was genuinely beautiful. Staff were friendly and helpful, but that couldn’t make up for the overall lack of quality and upkeep. If we ever return to Hamburg, I’d insist on a better room and would definitely check the condition of facilities beforehand.
