When we had to wait briefly for our room to be ready, instead of just letting us sit, they brought over a small snack specifically for our 4-year-old daughter. She lit up instantly, turning what could’ve been a boring wait into a sweet little moment. Breakfast was another highlight—despite having two kids (one taller than standard), the staff didn’t treat us like a hassle. They welcomed us warmly and handled everything with grace. One detail I’ll never forget: when our napkins ran out, a supervisor personally came over to replace them—no one else was assigned, no script, just genuine care. Throughout our stay, housekeeping staff remained courteous, quiet, and always ready to help if needed, yet never intrusive. The only minor suggestions: there’s a bit of room for improvement in water supply—more bottles or easier access to refills would boost comfort. Also, while the carpet was clean, it looked slightly dull; upgrading the cleaning or considering a refresh might better match the hotel’s premium feel. To be honest, we also stayed at other hotels during this trip—including Jinzhou New World and Qinhuangdao Shangri-La—but none matched the level of thoughtfulness, warmth, and proactive service we experienced here. This wasn’t just good hospitality—it felt human. We’re already planning our next visit to Shenyang, and New World will definitely be our first choice. Since it had been years since I last returned to China, I had many questions about local customs and logistics—and every single team member patiently answered them with kindness and zero hesitation. My child wanted a simple salad, but neither delivery options nor in-house meals were available. Instead, the front desk went above and beyond: they arranged fresh vegetables, utensils, and personally delivered everything to our room. They even explained why knives couldn’t be loaned out—but kindly offered to have the kitchen prep it (I declined, opting instead to use a $0.01 thin metal spoon I picked up from a nearby congee shop—it actually worked surprisingly well!). Housekeeping staff noticed we were hosting a guest in-room and proactively tidied up, added an extra chair, and made sure everything felt welcoming. On New Year’s Eve, I wanted to buy an Atour pillow as a gift. Staff member Jia Ning quickly coordinated inventory from another location and confirmed everything was ready by New Year’s morning. Even after check-out, when a package arrived, I reached out again—Jia Ning helped me collect it and store it safely in my luggage. I may not remember everyone’s name, but I’ll never forget the level of care and dedication shown throughout my stay. This isn’t just a hotel—it’s a home away from home. Highly recommend, and I’ll definitely be back.
