My child wanted a simple salad, but neither delivery options nor in-house meals were available. Instead, the front desk went above and beyond: they arranged fresh vegetables, utensils, and personally delivered everything to our room. They even explained why knives couldn’t be loaned out—but kindly offered to have the kitchen prep it (I declined, opting instead to use a $0.01 thin metal spoon I picked up from a nearby congee shop—it actually worked surprisingly well!). Housekeeping staff noticed we were hosting a guest in-room and proactively tidied up, added an extra chair, and made sure everything felt welcoming. On New Year’s Eve, I wanted to buy an Atour pillow as a gift. Staff member Jia Ning quickly coordinated inventory from another location and confirmed everything was ready by New Year’s morning.
