Staying at Grace Residency-Inside Chennai Airport was an absolute delight. The location couldn't be more convenient—right inside the airport complex, so I didn’t have to worry about transportation at all. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable, with a great bed that made for a restful night’s sleep. Despite being inside the airport, it was surprisingly quiet and peaceful. The staff were friendly and helpful, making the whole experience seamless. For travelers needing a hassle-free stay near the terminal, this is a top choice—excellent value, perfect for early flights or short layovers.
Hotel Southern Comfort
This was my second stay at Hotel Southern Comfort, and I’m happy to say the experience lived up to my expectations. The location is excellent—just a short walk from the metro station and surrounded by great local eateries. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with friendly staff who went the extra mile. One downside was the lunch menu at the on-site restaurant—it felt overpriced for what you get. Also, some of the dining staff kept asking for tips after the bill, which made me feel a bit uncomfortable. That said, these minor issues didn’t take away from the overall positive impression. If you’re looking for a reliable, no-frills hotel in Chennai with good value and convenient access, this place is definitely worth considering.

Considering the price, this hotel offers decent value for money. The room was simple but clean and comfortable, with a good night's sleep guaranteed. The stay at this property was disappointing overall. The room was not clean at all—there were visible stains on the bedding, and the bathroom floor had stubborn residue that looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in days. While the location is convenient for nearby attractions like St. Thomas Mount Church and Phoenix Marketcity, the poor hygiene standards make it hard to recommend. I’ve stayed in better-rated accommodations for similar prices elsewhere. If cleanliness isn’t prioritized, it’s unlikely I’ll consider returning or recommending this place to others.
The Vijay Park- Near Airport
This was an extremely disappointing stay. We had booked the hotel a month in advance, but upon arrival, the security guard greeted us with a sour expression and claimed there were no rooms available. After showing our booking confirmation, we were finally allowed to check in. The room had a musty smell, and the bed sheets were stained. The bidet hose handle came loose, causing water to splash everywhere. To make matters worse, we were charged 50 rupees for three bottles of water—despite not requesting them. This is by far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. I strongly advise against staying here.

We stayed at Trident Chennai for two nights and couldn’t be happier with the experience. While some areas of the hotel show signs of age, the overall condition is solid, and cleanliness is consistently high. What truly sets this place apart is the exceptional service—friendly, attentive, and always one step ahead. Breakfast is a must-try; it’s delicious, well-prepared, and offers a great mix of local and international options. If you're visiting Chennai, this hotel delivers comfort, quality, and hospitality that makes every moment feel special.
