The location is fantastic, just a short walk from the metro and close to downtown attractions. My room was spotless, comfortable, and well-equipped, with a cozy bed that made for a perfect night's sleep. The air conditioning worked perfectly, which was a big plus during the warm weather. What stood out most was the incredible value for money—this hotel offers luxury-level comfort at a surprisingly affordable price. I’d definitely book here again on my next trip to Bogotá.

It's a solid choice if you're looking for convenience, affordability, and a good location in the heart of Bogotá. I’d definitely consider returning next time I visit.

Our flight got canceled by Avianca, leaving us stranded after a long and stressful day trying to figure out how to get home. We ended up at Hotel Macao Colombia, and honestly, it was the best decision we made all day. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, going above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The room was cozy and clean, offering a much-needed rest after a tiring ordeal. And the food? Absolutely delicious—perfect for unwinding after such a chaotic day. This place truly felt like a warm, welcoming oasis in the middle of our travel chaos. Highly recommend for anyone passing through Bogotá.

I arrived at the hotel near midnight with a confirmed reservation, only to be told there was no availability despite having proof of booking. It was extremely stressful and disorienting to be turned away at such an hour. I ended up driving around in an Uber until 1 a.m., finally securing accommodation at another hotel—paying a significantly higher rate. This experience was deeply frustrating and unacceptable. I’m disappointed by the lack of professionalism and customer support, especially during such a critical time. I expect a clear explanation for what went wrong and appropriate compensation for the inconvenience and added expense. The hotel should take responsibility and improve their procedures to prevent this from happening again.

This was an absolutely terrible experience from start to finish. Upon arrival, we found our room door already open—completely unsettling and a major red flag. The room itself was filthy: black hairs scattered all over the bathroom and shower (I have short blonde hair), stained and dirty bed linens, and constant noise from the lobby and plumbing since the room was directly behind the front desk. It was impossible to relax or even focus on work. When I brought the issue to the staff’s attention, there was zero response—no apology, no offer to move us, nothing. We checked out immediately after. I have photos and videos documenting the poor condition of the room and the overall lack of care. This is completely unacceptable for any hotel, especially one claiming to be boutique. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

I stayed at this hotel and was extremely disappointed. The room cleanliness was terrible—pillowcases were full of hair, and it clearly hadn’t been properly cleaned before we arrived. While I understand it’s a budget option, the level of dirt and lack of basic hygiene is unacceptable. The service was poor, with no response when I reached out for help. To make matters worse, the price felt way too high for what was actually provided. I wouldn’t recommend this place even for one night. It’s not worth the money or the stress.

Hotel Luxem
This is my second night staying at Hotel Luxem, and I can't even get a decent sleep due to the constant noise from neighboring rooms and the front desk area. I asked for a better-insulated room, but was told I'd need to pay full price for another room. The customer service was terrible—completely unhelpful and indifferent to guest comfort. For the price, you'd expect basic quietness and decent support, but this place falls far short. Definitely not worth it, and I won't be returning.
