AC Hotel Irla
The room is on the smaller side, but surprisingly well-equipped with everything you'd need. It's not marketed very effectively—like how we accidentally discovered they offer a hot breakfast where eggs can be cooked exactly to your preference. We also found out they sell tickets to the Picasso Museum, something we would’ve definitely taken advantage of if we’d known earlier. These perks were never clearly advertised. The water restrictions in the room could be a bit more relaxed—better yet, provide a branded reusable water bottle for guests. But overall, the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, making the stay much more enjoyable.
Catalonia Castellnou
Staying at Catalonia Castellnou was an absolute highlight of my Barcelona trip. The location is perfect—just a short walk from the city center and within easy reach of all major attractions like Gothic Quarter and Las Ramblas. We stayed here the night before our cruise, and it was an excellent choice. Located just outside the bustling city center, near Nou Camp Stadium, the area is full of shops, bars, and great dining options. It’s only about 100 meters from the L3 metro line, making it super easy to get around town and reach the cruise terminal.
