I arrived late at night—well past midnight—and yet the 24-hour concierge was there to greet me warmly and assist instantly when I realized I’d forgotten the email with my access codes. A quick call to the 24/7 support line resolved everything in minutes. The suite itself is spacious, bright, and airy, impeccably clean, and fully equipped with brand-new kitchenware, cookware, and tableware—everything you’d need for a home-cooked meal. There’s also a cozy lounge area perfect for unwinding. The rooftop pool is generously sized, ideal for laps, and the fitness center, shared with the adjacent Marriott, is huge and well-maintained, with all equipment working perfectly. I never saw more than six or eight people during my visits—so quiet and peaceful. Several supermarkets are within a five-minute walk, making grocery runs super easy. Even better, the front desk happily allowed me to store my luggage after check-out and let me work from their relaxed lobby space throughout the day. Checked out this morning and I have to say, it was a fantastic stay despite the slightly higher price for a dorm-style hostel. The rooftop patio is a real gem—perfect for relaxing with a drink or just enjoying some quiet time under the sun. It's incredibly convenient to the Metro; Eastern Market Station is just a 5-minute walk across the street. Getting to the National Airport takes about 35 minutes by train, while the International Airport is only 45 minutes away—super easy access for travelers. Great location, clean space, friendly vibe, and everything you need within reach. Definitely worth the price if you're looking for a comfortable, well-connected base in DC.

The stay was great overall, with a convenient location just a short subway ride from downtown Washington D.C. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the hostel itself was clean and well-maintained. The only minor issue was that the mattress springs on the bed were slightly loose, but it didn’t affect my sleep much. Whenever I’m in DC for just a night or two, this is always my first choice. Why spend over $200 a night on a room I mostly just sleep in and stash my bags, when I can grab a bunk in one of the most lively neighborhoods in the city for less than what I’d spend on lunch? It’s not luxury by any stretch, but it’s safe, clean, and full of character. I love that the dorm rooms come with free Wi-Fi and air conditioning (private rooms are available too), and the staff are genuinely warm and laid-back. There’s always a mix of interesting travelers around—great conversations to be had, no matter where you’re from. Plus, everything you could want—restaurants, bars, shops, live music—is literally steps away. Walkable, vibrant, and consistently enjoyable. This place never disappoints and has become one of my top hostels in the U.S.
