We stayed at Villa Savioli for three nights and absolutely loved it. The room was beautifully furnished with a spacious, well-equipped bathroom—everything you'd need for a comfortable stay. The beds were incredibly cozy, and the room temperature was just right, making for a restful night's sleep. The host was welcoming and attentive, and the breakfast was exceptional—fresh, delicious, and thoughtfully prepared. Every detail felt cared for. This place offers outstanding value and genuine hospitality. I can't recommend it highly enough—and yes, we’ll definitely be back.

While you’ll need to walk through an open-air internal driveway to get there, the path is pleasant and safe, and the breakfast itself is excellent—fresh, varied, and well-prepared. Despite the slight walk, the experience is worth it. Overall, this is a hidden gem with great value, especially for those seeking a relaxing yet convenient stay near the city’s key venues.

We arrived late at 10:30 PM after missing our train, and the staff were incredibly helpful and responsive—immediately available to secure us a room. The apartment was spacious for two people, with a well-equipped kitchen and spotless cleanliness throughout. What really stood out was their thoughtful gesture of helping us carry our luggage when checking out. Located right in the heart of Bologna, it’s perfect for exploring the city on foot. Clean, convenient, and warm hospitality make this a top choice. Highly recommended—definitely a place you’ll enjoy staying at!

I stumbled upon Locanda Corte Roveri completely by chance, and I couldn’t be more delighted. Nestled in a beautifully restored 18th-century building, every space has been thoughtfully renovated with elegance and care. The rooms are spotless, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff truly go above and beyond to make guests feel at home. Breakfast was exceptional—fresh, delicious, and well-prepared, setting a perfect tone for the day. There’s ample parking on site, and while it’s in a quiet neighborhood, it’s just a short drive from the city center—super convenient whether you're here for business or leisure. The only thing to note? Having a car is essential here, as public transport options are limited. But that’s a small trade-off for such a peaceful, charming stay. A standout choice for anyone visiting Bologna.

Staying at B&B Selvarossa was an absolute delight! The location is incredibly convenient—just a 10-15 minute ride on the train from San Ruffillo station to Bologna Centrale, with no transfers needed. The apartment has a small kitchenette, perfect for preparing meals and storing leftovers in the fridge, which made our self-catering experience stress-free. There’s a large supermarket nearby, so grocery shopping was super easy. The area is quiet and surrounded by greenery—ideal for those who love peace, nature, and exploring Italy’s rich art, architecture, and history. The place felt clean, welcoming, and well-maintained. Our host was warm and hospitable, making us feel right at home. We even took day trips to Ravenna and Ferrara by train—both were easy and enjoyable. Huge thanks to the host for such a wonderful stay. Stayed one night at this charming property and was thoroughly impressed. For just €70 per night, two people enjoyed a quiet, well-insulated room with excellent value for money. The bathroom is located outside the room but is private and secure—perfect for storing personal items. The mattress was comfortable, and the room was already warm upon arrival, which made a big difference in the chilly evening. The TV was modern with access to Netflix and YouTube (requires login), though I didn’t get around to using it—don’t know if there were any setup issues. In the morning, I brewed coffee and herbal tea using a high-quality kettle, and appreciated the small kitchenette with fridge—ideal for light meals or snacks. The overall atmosphere was peaceful, clean, and welcoming. The bathroom was spacious and beautifully designed, with a generous shower area. I was genuinely happy with the entire experience. Bonus: just a short walk away is a fantastic little restaurant where we had a romantic dinner—elegant dishes, reasonable prices, and great ambiance. Highly recommend both the hotel and the nearby dining spot. Would definitely stay here again.
San Giovanni in Monte Apartment
Definitely avoid this property—no cell signal at all, and the Wi-Fi was completely non-functional. I reached out to the host multiple times, but they just said 'I don’t know' with zero effort to fix it. After three nights, I had to go outside to coffee shops just to get basic internet access—felt like I was living in a cave. The bathroom door was broken too, making it awkward to use. To make matters worse, we needed to register for the city tax, but instead of help, we kept getting pushy emails demanding compliance. The lack of support and poor communication made the whole stay frustrating. Don’t waste your time or money—this is not worth it.

For travelers who value location, convenience, and good value, this place hits all the right notes. I’d definitely stay here again on my next visit to Bologna.

Check-in instructions were clear and easy to follow, which made the arrival process smooth. The apartment spans two levels—while the ground floor is a bit narrow, it still offers a functional kitchen area, a dining table, and a bathroom with a shower. All facilities worked perfectly during our stay: air conditioning, water heater (for hot showers), stove, oven, washing machine, vacuum cleaner, and hairdryer—all in good working order. We didn’t test the heating system since we visited in summer, but everything else performed as expected. The overall vibe is quiet and comfortable, ideal for travelers looking for a home-like base with modern amenities. Highly recommend this place for its practical layout, smart location, and reliable service. Definitely a top choice if you're visiting Bologna.

If you’re looking for a no-frills, reliable base to explore Bologna without overspending, Hotel Perla is a solid choice.
