When I accidentally misplaced my ID copy during check-in, I was worried about delays, but Donk handled it with calm professionalism—he not only reassured me but also personally coordinated with a nearby print shop to get everything sorted quickly and efficiently. Later, when I casually mentioned that I’d prefer a different room orientation, he immediately arranged a room change and even delivered fresh welcome fruit to the new room. That kind of attention to detail made all the difference. On departure day, I was rushing for an early flight, and Donk had already pre-packed a breakfast box for me, along with a gentle reminder about the weather change—such a thoughtful touch. The hotel itself is spotless, well-maintained, and equipped with everything you’d need. With such warm, proactive hospitality and top-tier facilities, this stay earned every single point. Among the Crowne Plaza properties in Beijing, this Sun Palace location has consistently stood out for me—maybe because it feels newer compared to others like YouTang, Zhongguancun, or Lido. The overall facilities and room design are modern and well thought out, making the stay genuinely comfortable. It's conveniently located just outside the Northeast 3rd Ring Road, with easy access to subway stations nearby—perfect if you're relying on public transit. Driving in? Parking is only 40 RMB per day, which is very reasonable. Right now, the lobby is beautifully decorated with a stunning Christmas tree and festive touches throughout—definitely sets a cheerful mood. The elevators automatically light up your floor when you swipe your key card—a nice tech touch. Room space is generous, clean, and well-organized, with both shower and bathtub available. Even small details like alcohol wipes, toilet seat covers, and bath mats were thoughtfully provided. Only minor note: the hairdryer wasn’t the most powerful. The rooftop lounge on the 23rd floor offers afternoon tea and happy hour for guests with privileges—great for unwinding. Breakfast at the ground-floor restaurant was fantastic: a wide variety of coffee options, freshly made, plus an unexpected highlight—hard-boiled eggs already peeled! There’s also a great selection of soups, main dishes, desserts, and drinks. The 25-meter pool is spacious and well-maintained, offering a peaceful retreat. Staff service was excellent throughout—special thanks to Alice at reception, who was incredibly helpful and friendly. Overall, this was one of the best stays I’ve had in Beijing, and I’ll definitely be back.
