Staying at UrCove by HYATT Beijing Forbidden City was an absolute delight. The location is unbeatable—just a 10-minute walk to Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City, with a metro station nearby for easy access to other parts of the city. There’s no shortage of great dining options within walking distance, making it perfect for food lovers. While the room is on the smaller side and soundproofing could be better, these minor drawbacks don’t take away from the overall experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and went the extra mile by offering a complimentary breakfast—such a thoughtful touch! My favorite part? The rooftop terrace on the 8th floor, which offers stunning views of the Forbidden City. It’s especially lovely in summer when you can relax and enjoy the breeze while taking in the historic scenery. A truly memorable stay with excellent value.

Hot water in the bathroom came on instantly and flowed generously—perfect for a relaxing shower after a long day. Every day, the fridge was restocked with free Coca-Cola, Sprite, and little snacks—great for a quick pick-me-up. Breakfast was fantastic: diverse options including freshly made wontons, beef noodle soup, and crispy jianbing. The local flavors were authentic and satisfying. I especially loved the 24-hour service in the lobby offering warm pear soup and goji-red date tea—ideal for those chilly Beijing nights. Late-night snacks included wontons and a soothing bedtime congee; when wontons ran out one evening, they even prepared various flavored tangyuan as a thoughtful replacement. The fitness center had modern equipment and felt well-maintained. There’s also a laundry and dryer available, which can be monitored via the room TV—though we didn’t use it this time, knowing it’s there added peace of mind. Overall, the attention to detail, warm hospitality, and excellent value make this hotel a standout choice. Highly recommended for both business and leisure travelers.

The staff were exceptional—friendly, professional, and always willing to help. Every morning, breakfast was delivered right to my door on time, and there was fresh milk and coffee available throughout the day. Even in winter, the room stayed cozy thanks to the underfloor heating — no chilly floors at all. The staff were incredibly thoughtful too; they helped carry our luggage upstairs without hesitation. And if you’re ever hungry, the ground-floor dining area serves up warm, comforting meals anytime — I had a steaming bowl of noodles that hit the spot. We stayed at Atour S Hotel in Beijing Dongzhimen with three friends, and it was our first time experiencing this brand—what a fantastic impression! Later on, another staff member and a lovely assistant helped bring up our takeout meals multiple times; their attentiveness really stood out. Location-wise, it's perfect—super convenient for getting around to major attractions like the Forbidden City and hutongs via subway. Everything is within easy reach, making sightseeing stress-free. Clean rooms, friendly service, and excellent value—all reasons why I’d happily recommend this hotel. We couldn’t have asked for more!
