Hosteeva 2BR Steps to St. Charles Ave
Staying at this property near St. Charles Ave was a real disappointment. The couches and beds were extremely worn out with no proper support—especially the mattress, which had a noticeable dip in the center, making it uncomfortable even for someone my size (30 years old, not overweight). The smoke alarm went off repeatedly throughout the morning, requiring us to wait for staff to fix it—a major inconvenience. We also noticed that parts of the floor were sinking, so we had to watch our step carefully while walking around. The air conditioning didn’t work at all during our entire stay, and despite calling daily, the issue was never resolved. With temperatures outside hitting 109°F, the thermostat was locked at 78°F, making the room unbearable. Ceiling fans were non-functional too, so we ended up using portable box fans just to get some airflow. It’s hard to recommend this place, especially given the price point. Poor maintenance and lack of basic comfort make it a tough sell.
Grenoble House
Our stay at Grenoble House was absolutely fantastic. The courtyard is peaceful and serene, offering a quiet retreat just steps away from the lively Bourbon Street. We didn’t use our car once during our entire week-long visit—everything we wanted to see was within walking distance, and when we needed a break, the streetcar made getting around effortless. The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of the city. The staff went above and beyond with their friendliness and helpfulness—always smiling and ready to assist. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. This was an amazing trip, and I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough. We’ll definitely be back.

No breakfast included, but there are several excellent nearby cafes and bakeries offering quick, delicious options. Overall, this hotel offers a fantastic mix of charm, convenience, and comfort. Highly recommend it for travelers looking for something different in New Orleans.
