I'm really glad I found this accommodation in Florence—truly a gem for group travel. It's within walking distance to almost everything, including just a 5-minute stroll to the main SMN train station, making transit super convenient. We traveled as a group of eight and had one extra room unused, which was perfect since the apartment features five bedrooms and four bathrooms: three with private en-suite bathrooms on the main floor, and two more on the upper level—one with an ensuite. The kitchen is well-equipped with a full-sized fridge, oven for reheating leftovers, and even a dishwasher. All essential utensils and dinnerware are provided, so we didn’t have to worry about anything. That said, the unit does feel a bit dated, and cleanliness could’ve been better—there were minor issues like the balcony door not latching properly, which let mosquitoes inside. But the host made up for it with their kindness and flexibility; they allowed us to stay a little longer to wait for our train to Rome, which was incredibly thoughtful. Despite a few small imperfections, the location, space, and hospitality truly made the experience worthwhile. A great choice for families or groups looking for a homey base in the heart of Florence.

The bed was huge and incredibly comfortable, and every detail mattered—from the proper hairdryer and mini coffee machine beside the kettle to the premium toiletries. That said, since the hotel sits on a busy street, earplugs (provided free of charge) are helpful for blocking outside traffic noise—but honestly, we barely noticed them and slept like babies. This is our third spring in a row visiting Florence and staying at San Pier Novello. Every time has been lovely and we will be happy to return again. The rooms are charming and comfortable, breakfast is homemade and exceptional, and the hosts are kind and accommodating. The location is perfect, away from the city center but easy to access everything. An incredible value considering how expensive lodging in Florence can be.
