I'm really glad I found this accommodation in Florence—truly a gem for group travel. It's within walking distance to almost everything, including just a 5-minute stroll to the main SMN train station, making transit super convenient. We traveled as a group of eight and had one extra room unused, which was perfect since the apartment features five bedrooms and four bathrooms: three with private en-suite bathrooms on the main floor, and two more on the upper level—one with an ensuite. The kitchen is well-equipped with a full-sized fridge, oven for reheating leftovers, and even a dishwasher. All essential utensils and dinnerware are provided, so we didn’t have to worry about anything. That said, the unit does feel a bit dated, and cleanliness could’ve been better—there were minor issues like the balcony door not latching properly, which let mosquitoes inside. But the host made up for it with their kindness and flexibility; they allowed us to stay a little longer to wait for our train to Rome, which was incredibly thoughtful. Despite a few small imperfections, the location, space, and hospitality truly made the experience worthwhile. A great choice for families or groups looking for a homey base in the heart of Florence.

Staying at Sansovino Bed and Car was a mixed experience. Traffic starts early in the morning and goes on well into the night, so noise was a constant issue. On the bright side, the air conditioning worked well, and the location is great—just five tram stops from the city center, making it easy to explore on foot or by public transit. However, cleanliness needs serious improvement. We found trash left behind in the bathroom by the previous guest, which was disappointing. Overall, it’s not a bad option if you’re looking for a budget-friendly base near the city and don’t mind basic amenities, but don’t expect comfort or quiet.
