Staying at ibis Hong Kong Central and Sheung Wan was a great experience, especially considering the price. For around RMB 700 per night, it's incredibly affordable by Hong Kong standards. The location is super convenient—just a short walk to Sheung Wan MTR station and close to the iconic tram (Ding Ding) stops, making getting around town a breeze. I stayed in Room 1009, which was clean, spacious, and well-maintained. While the facilities might not be as modern as some newer chains like Full Season, the hotel still holds its own in terms of comfort and service. The staff were friendly and helpful, adding a personal touch that made the stay feel welcoming. Overall, if you're looking for a reliable, no-frills option with excellent transport links and good value, this is definitely worth considering.
Apartment Kapok
This was my first stay at Apartment Kapok in Hong Kong, and overall it was a great experience. Getting from the airport to Exhibition Centre MTR station was smooth and straightforward—just hop on the train and you're there. The navigation was a bit tricky at first; I thought I had to find a main entrance, but the actual access is through a small door next to Bank of China in Building A of Wanjing Centre. Just exit at Exit B3 of Exhibition Centre Station, cross two streets, and you’re right there. The location couldn’t be more convenient—especially since I needed to renew my child’s documents, and it’s only a 5-minute walk to the Consulate General building in China Resources Tower. That made everything so stress-free. The room was spacious and well laid out, offering plenty of room for comfort. Staff were friendly and helpful when needed—nothing overly enthusiastic, but definitely responsive and professional. We stayed on the 7th floor, which didn’t have sea views, but the street-level view was perfectly fine. There are plenty of dining options nearby, though if you’re craving authentic local snacks, you’ll need to cross a skybridge and walk a bit further. On the bright side, there’s a supermarket right downstairs—perfect for grabbing fresh fruit, milk, or even quick breakfasts and lunches. The only downside? Poor sound insulation. I could hear every door slam from the neighboring unit—it was loud enough to make me wince. But considering the excellent location, clean rooms, and overall value, I’d definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Hong Kong.
YHA Mei Ho House Youth Hostel
This was my second visit to YHA Mei Ho House Youth Hostel, this time with friends on a fun getaway. The room was surprisingly spacious for Hong Kong standards—definitely not cramped at all, which is a big plus in such a compact city. Staff were friendly and helpful, and cleanliness was top-notch throughout the stay. Plus, breakfast was included—such a nice touch to start the day right. On the ground floor, there’s a small museum that gives a fascinating insight into Mei Ho House’s historical significance in Hong Kong’s urban development—perfect for anyone interested in local heritage. A short walk nearby leads to a little hill where you can enjoy a stunning view of Sham Shui Po’s night skyline—so peaceful and photogenic. Overall, it’s a fantastic choice for travelers who want comfort, charm, and a bit of culture without breaking the bank. Highly recommend for a memorable stay in Hong Kong.
Weave Studios - Sai Ying Pun(Longstay Apartment)

I’d highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Hong Kong on a budget—authentic, safe, and full of character.
