The guesthouse is conveniently located just a short walk from the city center, making it easy to explore Kolkata on foot. The restaurant was always bustling, so we ended up dining at the bar instead—and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, drinks, and service. The staff were attentive and friendly, adding to the overall enjoyable experience. We’d recommend booking in advance next time, as it’s clearly popular. The only minor downside was having to carry luggage up half a flight of stairs for the first-floor rooms, but it didn’t detract much from our stay. The hotel is completely unlivable and bears no resemblance to the photos. It's located right next to a train station, where the first train arrives at 3:45 AM with loud horns and whistles that startle you awake. The last train departs at 12:30 AM, meaning constant noise throughout the night. The room itself is outdated, poorly maintained, and lacks basic comfort. The entire experience was extremely disappointing—definitely not worth it, and I wouldn’t recommend staying here for any reason.
