At this price point, it truly nails the balance between quality and value—no overpowering artificial scents upon entry, just a subtle, calming woodsy aroma that instantly sets a relaxing tone. The carpet is fresh and plush, with no awkward creaks or damp echoes when walking. Despite the compact 12 sqm space, there’s room for a spacious 1.8m floating bed, which offers excellent support without being too firm—side sleepers will appreciate how comfortable it feels, with no shoulder numbness. What impressed me most was the sound insulation: located right next to the elevator shaft, yet at night all I heard was the quiet hum of my own air conditioning unit. No disruptive noises, just peaceful silence. This place proves you don’t need to overspend for a clean, quiet, and thoughtfully designed stay. Definitely worth every penny—would book again in a heartbeat.

Having stayed at the a&o location in the Czech Republic, I did compare this one in Copenhagen. The front desk staff were all friendly and helpful—great service. One thing I really liked in the Czech branch was the separate bathroom and shower areas, which made things much more convenient. That's something I missed here in Copenhagen—when someone’s using the shower or toilet, the other facility becomes unavailable, which can be frustrating. Another small issue both locations share is that some power outlets and lights near the windows seem to have loose connections; they occasionally cut out mid-use. Still, despite these minor drawbacks, the location is excellent—right in Nørrebro, super close to the metro, and just a short ride into the city center. Clean rooms, good value for money, and ideal for budget travelers who want comfort without the high price. Definitely worth a stay.

Lastly, the charging port didn’t work simultaneously for two phones, which was a bit frustrating. But honestly, these are minor issues compared to how much value you get. Great atmosphere, smart design, and an unbeatable price for the experience. Highly recommend for solo travelers looking for something different.

Check-in and check-out were seamless thanks to a simple digital code that unlocked the door—no waiting at the front desk, which was a huge plus. The only downside? We weren’t able to secure a 2-hour late checkout, which would’ve been perfect for our travel schedule. Still, the cleanliness, comfort, and central location make this a standout choice. Highly recommend for travelers who value simplicity, space, and location.
Sanders Haven - Sweet 2-Bdr. Apt. Near Nyhavn
Staying at this charming 2-bedroom apartment near Nyhavn in Copenhagen was mostly a delightful experience. The location is unbeatable—within walking distance of major attractions, and literally right next to more than 20 restaurants, making dining out incredibly convenient. During mid-summer, the price-to-quality ratio was outstanding for such a central spot. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed for our stay, whether short or longer-term. We appreciated having a couple of umbrellas for the frequent rain showers, though one was nearly unusable. The beds were among the most comfortable we’ve ever slept on—truly dreamy. The apartment itself is bright, spacious, and airy, with clean lines and a welcoming vibe. That said, there are a few downsides worth noting. The openness and lightness that make it so inviting during the day can be a problem when trying to sleep past 7:30–8 a.m., as there are no blackout curtains—Copenhagen’s summer sun will absolutely wake you up every morning. Also, while the apartment matches the photos online, both sofas looked terrible—deeply stained, with layers of grime that look like they’ve been there for years. They really need a professional cleaning or replacement. It made us hesitant to sit on them. And the toilet seat kept slipping out from under us, which was frustrating and unsafe. Despite these two issues, the overall experience was excellent. The combination of location, comfort, and value makes this apartment a strong choice for anyone visiting Copenhagen. If those small flaws are overlooked, it’s truly a perfect vacation base.
