HC3 Hotel

Staying at HC3 Hotel in Bologna was a great experience overall. The room was clean, spacious enough for two people, and perfect for a business trip. Everything was well-maintained and felt very comfortable. Location-wise, it's super convenient—just a short walk from the metro station, making it easy to get around the city or reach work locations quickly. The neighborhood is quiet yet vibrant, with nearby cafes, grocery stores, and small eateries. One downside? I had to check out one day earlier than planned, which was a bit disappointing. Also, while there are a few Chinese restaurants nearby, they’re quite pricey and not worth the cost—definitely not a good value. Still, the hotel offers excellent value for money, especially considering the cleanliness, comfort, and location. I’d definitely stay here again on my next visit to Bologna.

Central City Rooms

I was staying in Florence for a few days when I took a day trip to Venice. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize the last train back to Florence wasn’t until 7:40 PM—so I ended up showing up at Venice Station at 8:00 PM, completely shocked and stressed. With no other options, I quickly searched for a place near Florence and found Central City Rooms in Bologna. I arrived around midnight, and to my surprise, staff member Fabio came out to meet me right at the front of the hotel, even though it was late. He greeted me warmly, helped with my luggage, and made me feel instantly welcome—no hesitation or annoyance at all. The female staff who handled my booking earlier were also very kind and professional. My room was spotless, beautifully decorated, and incredibly comfortable. Despite the unexpected travel mishap, this hotel turned my stressful evening into a positive experience. The service, location, and quality are outstanding—definitely worth recommending and will be my go-to choice if I’m ever in the area again.

The staff couldn’t have been more welcoming or helpful—the service and attention to detail were flawless. The rooms were spotless and well-maintained throughout our stay. There’s always a coffee machine available for guests to use anytime during the day, which was such a nice touch. And the breakfast? Rich, hearty, and full of variety—exactly what you want to start your day right. This hotel offers an incredible balance of comfort, convenience, and value. It’s incredibly convenient, just a short walk from the train station, making it easy to get around the city. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was fresh and delicious. Alle Torri

My friend and I stayed at Alle Torri for four wonderful days in Bologna, and it was truly one of the best experiences we’ve had on a city trip. From the moment we arrived, the welcome was warm and personal. Our room was spotless—by far the cleanest B&B I’ve ever stayed in, even comparing to many hotels. Daily cleaning with fresh bed-making made us feel like we were getting hotel-level service, which is rare for a guesthouse. The location was perfect—just a short walk from Piazza Maggiore, making it easy to explore the city’s charm on foot. When we needed a taxi for our airport transfer, the staff had already arranged everything downstairs, waiting for us before we even stepped out of the elevator. Breakfast was simple but delightful—fresh pastries and great coffee, just right to start the day. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and waking up each morning felt like a treat. I genuinely didn’t want to leave, and I’m already thinking about when we can come back. Huge thanks to the owners and the cleaning team—you made our stay unforgettable.

Hotel Centrale

Staying at Hotel Centrale in Bologna was a delightful experience. It’s perfectly located—close enough to the heart of the city to enjoy all the charm and culture, yet far enough from the main streets to enjoy peace and quiet without any noise or traffic disturbance. We stayed in an apartment across the street from the hotel, which was spacious and well-equipped with a small kitchenette—ideal for preparing light meals and welcoming friends who were staying at the hotel. Breakfast was included and came with a great variety of options. While mostly cold, it offered plenty of choices and was satisfying. The highlight? The coffee—it was outstanding! You could choose from various Italian favorites like cappuccino, latte, or other traditional brews. Everything about the stay felt thoughtfully designed, and the overall value made it a memorable trip. Highly recommend for travelers seeking comfort and convenience in a beautiful city.

B&B Casa Bologna

My boyfriend and I stayed at B&B Casa Bologna for a weekend getaway in Bologna, and overall it was a pleasant experience. The place is a beautifully decorated apartment with two rooms, two private bathrooms, and a charming little kitchen—perfect for self-catering. When we arrived, the room matched exactly what we’d read in other reviews: spacious, bright, and immediately noticeable for its cleanliness and fresh, subtle scent. The bathroom was large, modern, and spotless—really impressive. I didn’t give it a full 5 stars only because it’s located on a busy street, so some outside noise from traffic could be heard from the room, which slightly affected our sleep. Still, I’d highly recommend this stay—especially for the warm hospitality of the host, Gianni. He was incredibly kind and helpful throughout our visit, making us feel right at home. Great location, lovely atmosphere, and excellent value for money. Definitely worth considering if you're visiting Bologna.

Hotel Perla

Hotel Perla is perfectly located just outside the ZTL zone, making it super convenient for both parking and getting into town on foot. We found street parking nearby easily, and there are also guarded parking options not far away—great for peace of mind if you're driving. The hotel itself offers excellent value for money: rooms are compact but spotless, with all the essentials you need for a comfortable stay. The staff are incredibly helpful at any time of day—offering local tips, directions, and even recommendations for hidden gems in Bologna. I did notice some street noise through the windows, especially during peak hours, but it didn’t bother me much at all. Overall, this place strikes a great balance between affordability, cleanliness, and convenience. If you’re looking for a no-frills, reliable base to explore Bologna without overspending, Hotel Perla is a solid choice.
