Downtown attractions are easily accessible on foot—about 15 to 20 minutes away—but the return walk uphill can be tough, especially on steep grades. Still, living near a major city center ourselves, we appreciate the authentic urban vibe: seeing people walking their dogs, diverse neighbors, and a true sense of place. Of course, we also noticed signs of homelessness, but that’s part of what makes the area real and grounded. For travelers who value location, character, and a more local experience over flashy amenities, this hotel offers exceptional value. It’s not perfect, but it delivers exactly what matters most: convenience, comfort, and a taste of real Seattle.
