This is hands down my favorite hotel in Russia so far, and the value for money is absolutely unbeatable at this price point. The location is incredibly convenient—just a short walk to the Dinamo metro station, and you can even stroll through the forest park for a peaceful route. Nearby, there are plenty of shops and dining options, making daily life super easy. I especially loved the beef and lamb fried rice from the restaurant right behind the hotel—it’s rich, flavorful, and totally worth a visit. I heard the property was recently acquired by Azimut, so prices might go up soon. If you’re looking for comfort, convenience, and great quality without breaking the bank, book it now before the rates change.
Sretenskaya Hotel
Absolutely loved our stay at Sretenskaya Hotel! The place was spotlessly clean, the staff were friendly and attentive, and the breakfast was delicious with a great variety of options. We booked a suite for our family of three, and it was spacious and comfortable—perfect for relaxing after a long day. The living area even had a sofa bed, which made it easy to accommodate our third traveler without any hassle. Adding an extra bed on-site was simple and affordable. Location is excellent—just a short metro ride from central Moscow. Highly recommend this hotel for families or anyone looking for comfort and convenience in a beautiful setting.
Safmar Tverskaya Hotel (ex. Marriott Hotel Tverskaya)
I stayed at what used to be the Marriott Tverskaya, now rebranded as Safmar Tverskaya Hotel—though the name’s changed, the service remains solid. Over three nights, I was given just one bottle of water (a small oversight), and the bathrobe replacement wasn’t automatic—had to ask for a new one—but once requested, it arrived quickly. The room is around 20 square meters, comfortably spacious enough for two large suitcases. What stood out most? The bed—the biggest single bed I’ve had on my entire trip through Russia, perfect for those used to generous space. Location-wise, it’s unbeatable: just 200 meters from Belarusian Railway Station, with metro and bus stops right outside, plus easy access to taxis. Despite being on Tverskaya Street, it’s surprisingly quiet thanks to double-glazed, vacuum-insulated windows on both levels. Breakfast was excellent—well-presented and tasty. While dairy options and traditional breakfast items were slightly limited (just one local yogurt pastry), they made up for it with fresh-squeezed juices, which were a real hit for travelers like us who aren’t always fond of heavy dairy. Everything else was covered: hot dishes, porridge, fruits, vegetables, drinks, coffee, tea, and plenty of meat, eggs, and milk. Staff kept refilling food and drinks promptly—no empty trays by mid-morning. Waking up full and ready to go each day was a true highlight. Overall, great value, top location, and warm hospitality. Highly recommend this place.

The Reakomp Hotel is perfectly located—just a short walk from everything I needed. While the hotel itself feels a bit dated, it’s clean, cozy, and warmly welcoming. The mattress was excellent—truly comfortable for a good night’s sleep. Plus, it's super convenient with both Vkus Vil and Perekrestok right nearby, so grabbing snacks or essentials was a breeze. Despite its age, the value for money is outstanding. I’d definitely stay here again.

Staying at Tsitadel Komfort Hotel in central Moscow was a great experience. The hotel is located in a lively area—right near Pushkin Square with easy access to the metro, and just a short walk to Red Square. While the entrance is a bit hidden, once you're on the street, everything feels convenient: there's a nice restaurant called Odssa nearby, and the square itself is perfect for dining and shopping. The building has that classic European charm from an old renovation, and while the layout is fairly standard, it’s very functional and cozy. The front desk staff didn’t speak English, but they used translation apps with patience and kindness—never rushed or frustrated. They were genuinely helpful. Plus, housekeeping came by daily to clean the room, which kept everything fresh and tidy. As a family with a young child, we found the price point excellent for what we got—comfortable, safe, and well-located. Definitely recommend this spot if you’re looking for a quiet yet central base in Moscow.

The Ozerkovskaya Hotel is absolutely fantastic! Located just a short walk from the metro, it’s super convenient for getting around Moscow. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable—especially the bed, which made for a restful night’s sleep. Noise insulation is excellent, so you won’t be disturbed by outside sounds. The staff were friendly and efficient throughout our stay, making check-in and check-out smooth and stress-free. What really stood out was the great value for money—this place offers so much more than expected at this price point. I’d definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Moscow.

I can't recommend this hotel at all—our experience was extremely disappointing and deeply unsettling. While the location is convenient, just a short metro ride away, the service was appalling. The front desk staff was rude and dismissive, with no regard for basic customer respect. Later, a manager named Sergey reached out, claiming he wanted to understand the situation—but his real goal seemed to be persuading us to delete our negative review. He even tried to shift blame onto me, suggesting I was at fault for the incident. When we explained that we had to cancel due to a family member’s sudden heart attack—well in advance (12 days prior), and with full prepayment for four nights—he insisted the rate was non-refundable and that our circumstances didn’t matter. He cited a message stating, 'By choosing a non-refundable rate, you accept all risks—you’ll never get your money back, even if something serious happens.' We sent medical documentation, flight tickets, and booking details as proof of the emergency, but he still refused to refund us, saying the evidence wasn’t sufficient. This contradicts Russian consumer protection laws: when services aren’t provided due to unforeseen circumstances, refunds are legally required. There was zero empathy, no understanding, and no humanity in their response. Instead, they offered a voucher in exchange for deleting our feedback—like we were the ones who caused the problem. This kind of behavior feels predatory. We’re now preparing to file a police report and take legal action for fraudulent practices. Please, avoid this hotel. Don’t let them profit from your trust. Choose a place with integrity, compassion, and transparency instead.
Citycomfort on Novokuznetskaya
The location was excellent—just a short walk from the exhibition venue, making everything super convenient. We arrived to find the hotel temporarily closed due to unforeseen circumstances, but the staff handled it professionally and swiftly. They arranged a driver to transfer us to a partner property with no hassle, ensuring we had a smooth check-in. Despite the unexpected situation, the team’s responsiveness and customer care were outstanding. The alternative hotel was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Overall, the experience exceeded expectations given the circumstances. Great communication, strong problem-solving, and genuine hospitality make this a standout stay in Moscow.
National Hotel
Staying at National Hotel in Moscow was an absolute highlight of my trip. The location is unbeatable—right across from Red Square, with the metro Line 1 exit just steps away. Everything about the hotel felt well-organized and clean. Housekeeping was excellent—towels, shampoo, and all amenities were replaced daily, and always fresh. It’s clear they take pride in their service. However, I do have one strong warning: avoid Room 154 at all costs. When I entered, I was immediately hit by a strong sewer-like smell. I called the front desk right away and requested a room change—thankfully, they accommodated me without delay. If you’re assigned this room, don’t hesitate to ask for another one. Other rooms are clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Overall, the hotel offers great value, exceptional convenience, and top-tier cleanliness. Just steer clear of that one room!
