A small suggestion: it would be great to have decaf coffee options available, especially for guests who are sensitive to caffeine or older travelers. Overall, the service is exceptional, the ambiance is timeless, and the value is outstanding. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a refined, welcoming stay in Shanghai.

For business travelers, this is an ideal choice with outstanding value. Hotel Equatorial Shanghai is one of Shanghai’s original five-star hotels, dating back to the early days of reform and opening-up in the 1990s. It’s undergoing a major renovation this year, so we’re excited to see how refreshed it will look. I’ll definitely be booking again once the upgrades are complete.
