We booked a six-person dorm for three of us, and honestly, the space was incredible—way bigger than expected. The bathroom is separated into dry and wet areas, super clean and well-maintained. Two single beds plus two bunk beds made it comfortable for all of us, with plenty of room to move around. I actually wished we had invited a few more friends—would’ve been even more fun! The view from the window is great too, especially in the evening when the city lights come on. The only downside? It’s a bit far from the city center, but the subway connection is quick and reliable. Overall, this place offers amazing value and a fantastic stay—definitely coming back!
Minimal Hostel No 41
This is my second stay at Minimal Hostel, and I’m now fully convinced it will always be my go-to choice when visiting Berlin. The place is cozy, quiet, and perfectly minimalist—exactly what I look for in a hostel. The beds are comfortable (though the pillows could be softer), and each has a personal light and lockers nearby, which is super convenient. The common area features a large table where you can work or relax in a calm, welcoming atmosphere. Downstairs, there’s a spacious bathroom with huge, clean showers—always spotless. Everything about this hostel feels thoughtfully designed, from the layout to the attention to detail. It’s not just affordable—it’s an exceptional value. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, no-frills stay in Berlin. Can’t wait to come back!

Staying at Sunflower Hostel Berlin was an absolute delight! The location is perfect—just a short walk from the city center and close to public transit, making it super easy to explore Berlin. Despite being a budget-friendly option, the quality of service truly stands out—the staff are helpful, kind, and always ready to assist. I came here solo on a tight budget, but I didn’t feel like I was compromising on comfort or experience. Everything about this place exceeded my expectations. We stayed just one night at this unique riverside property and were absolutely delighted with the experience. Our room faced the water, offering breathtaking views that made every morning feel like a scene from a postcard. The space was perfect for our family of four—comfortable without feeling cramped. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and were always approachable and helpful. Located in a charming, slightly off-the-beaten-path neighborhood, it’s an excellent base for exploring Berlin’s eclectic vibe. With great public transport links to the city center, getting around was effortless. This place truly stands out—not just for its location and design, but for the genuine warmth of hospitality. A must-visit for travelers seeking something different.
Easy Lodges Berlin
This stay was an absolute disaster—definitely not recommended. The entire property was in a shocking condition from the moment we arrived. The room was freezing cold despite having a heater, and every single faucet—including the shower and sink—produced icy water throughout our entire stay. We had to check out early because it was simply unbearable. The humidity inside the room was extreme, causing condensation to drip from the walls by the end of our visit. The bathroom was in terrible shape: some showers were broken, sinks were filthy with traces of saliva and toothpaste left by previous guests, and one was completely clogged so water wouldn’t drain at all. Trash was scattered around the room, and overall cleanliness was unacceptable. To make matters worse, even after checking out early, we were promised a refund by the platform—but never received it. We’ve now had to involve legal counsel to address the issue. This experience was deeply disappointing, and I can’t recommend this place to anyone. Avoid at all costs.

After staying at over 20 hotels and dozens of hostels across Berlin over the past 20 years, this place stands out as one of the best value stays I've experienced. Despite being located right next to Hermannplatz—a busy area—the room was surprisingly peaceful and quiet. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the breakfast was genuinely enjoyable with a great variety of options. Location-wise, it's unbeatable: two U-Bahn stations are within walking distance, plus countless cafés, restaurants, and even two supermarkets nearby. If you're looking for luxury or a super quiet neighborhood, this might not be your ideal choice—but if you want comfort, convenience, and excellent value in a vibrant yet calm setting, this hotel delivers. Perfect for travelers who appreciate a well-located base without the premium price tag. Every cent spent feels justified.
Die Fabrik - Hostel
Had an excellent stay at Die Fabrik - Hostel! The property was spotless and located in a fantastic area—just a short walk to the East Gallery, with plenty of great restaurants and shops nearby. The staff at reception were friendly and helpful throughout my visit. The only minor note is that my room wasn’t serviced during my stay, but honestly, it didn’t bother me since the space remained clean and comfortable. Overall, the location, atmosphere, and value made this a standout experience. I’d definitely book again if I’m back in Berlin.

East-Side Hotel Berlin
The location of this hotel is fantastic—central, walkable to major attractions, and just a short ride from the subway. However, my stay was somewhat disrupted by a persistent smoke detector in the hallway outside my room that kept beeping at one-minute intervals. This constant noise made it nearly impossible to relax or get a good night’s sleep. I reported the issue on day one, but unfortunately received no follow-up or resolution from the staff. While a dead battery in the alarm can happen, I expected some kind of response or action during my three-night stay. It's disappointing because the overall setting and value were strong—this small oversight really dragged down the experience. A bit more proactive service and attention to guest comfort would go a long way in turning a good location into a truly memorable stay.

This stay exceeded my expectations for a city-center hotel. The room was spotless, well-maintained, and equipped with everything I needed—comfortable bed, reliable AC, and a modern bathroom. Breakfast was excellent: fresh, hot options with a good variety, definitely worth the morning wake-up. What really stood out was the location—right inside Berlin Ostbahnhof train station, just across from the Berlin Wall memorial. Getting around the city is effortless; you can hop on the S-Bahn, U-Bahn, or buses without leaving the building. Whether heading to the airport, central Berlin, or nearby attractions, it’s all within minutes. For a hotel in this category, the value is outstanding. I’d absolutely book here again on my next visit to Berlin.
