Locke at East Side Gallery

Staying at Locke at East Side Gallery in Berlin was an absolute highlight. The location is perfect—just a 5-minute walk from Ostbahnhof, right next to Uber Arena with plenty of franchise restaurants nearby. There’s an Aldi and a Leve supermarket within walking distance, and the Leve store even stays open on Sundays, which is super convenient. The staff were incredibly friendly—especially one female employee who truly stood out. She handled everything efficiently, with genuine warmth and professionalism, and she’s also stunningly beautiful—seriously, I’d recommend her by name if I could! The facilities are outstanding. Compared to older, run-down hotels, this place feels brand new and luxurious. High-quality amenities like shampoo, body wash, and a powerful hairdryer made every day feel special. Lighting, furniture, kitchenware—all thoughtfully designed and top-notch. Best of all? The view from the front-facing river is breathtaking, and the ground-floor restaurant and café offer fantastic views too. You can even stroll into the East Side Gallery daily for some art inspiration. I stayed for eight days, and every moment was enjoyable—no downsides whatsoever. If you’re visiting Berlin again, this is my first choice without hesitation.

I especially loved the short walk to Tempelhof Park—ideal for a morning stroll or an afternoon relax. Whether you're here for business or leisure, this spot offers unbeatable convenience and charm. A top-tier experience from start to finish.

My first visit to Berlin was made even more memorable thanks to my stay at Me and All Hotel Berlin East Side by Hyatt. The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of the city, with most major attractions within walking distance. I loved how easy it was to explore without relying on transport. The hotel itself blends modern design with a warm, inviting atmosphere. My room was spotless, thoughtfully decorated, and the bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on—perfect after long days of sightseeing. From the stylish interiors to the thoughtful touches throughout, this place felt like a true home away from home. a&o Berlin Mitte

We booked a six-person dorm for three of us, and honestly, the space was incredible—way bigger than expected. The bathroom is separated into dry and wet areas, super clean and well-maintained. Two single beds plus two bunk beds made it comfortable for all of us, with plenty of room to move around. I actually wished we had invited a few more friends—would’ve been even more fun! The view from the window is great too, especially in the evening when the city lights come on. The only downside? It’s a bit far from the city center, but the subway connection is quick and reliable. Overall, this place offers amazing value and a fantastic stay—definitely coming back!

IntercityHotel Berlin Ostbahnhof

This stay exceeded my expectations for a city-center hotel. The room was spotless, well-maintained, and equipped with everything I needed—comfortable bed, reliable AC, and a modern bathroom. Breakfast was excellent: fresh, hot options with a good variety, definitely worth the morning wake-up. What really stood out was the location—right inside Berlin Ostbahnhof train station, just across from the Berlin Wall memorial. Getting around the city is effortless; you can hop on the S-Bahn, U-Bahn, or buses without leaving the building. Whether heading to the airport, central Berlin, or nearby attractions, it’s all within minutes. For a hotel in this category, the value is outstanding. I’d absolutely book here again on my next visit to Berlin.

Staying at Catalonia Berlin Mitte was an absolute delight. Located in the heart of Berlin, it’s just a short walk from major attractions like the Berlin Cathedral, the Chinese Embassy, and the Berlin Wall Memorial—perfect for exploring the city’s rich history. Despite being in a bustling area, the hotel is surprisingly quiet, offering a peaceful retreat without sacrificing convenience. The rooms are clean, well-maintained, and comfortably furnished, with excellent sound insulation. I particularly appreciated the breakfast spread—fresh pastries, local jams, and a good selection of hot and cold options. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Amano East Side

Staying at Amano East Side in Berlin was an absolute highlight of our trip. The hotel is literally less than a 5-minute walk from the main train station, making it incredibly convenient for getting around—especially with easy access to the East Side Gallery and other key spots. The staff were warm and welcoming, and even though we arrived early, they managed to get us into our room right away. The interior design throughout the property is stunning—modern, stylish, and full of character. We especially loved the rooftop bar: the view over the city is breathtaking, and the cocktails are delicious. The on-site Italian restaurant, Gambino, was also excellent—the food was fresh and flavorful. We didn’t have breakfast since we were out exploring every morning, so I can’t comment on that part, but overall, the experience was flawless. If you're visiting Berlin, this hotel deserves a spot on your list.

Apartmenthouse Berlin - am Görlitzer Park

The apartment was clean and the bedding was comfortable, which made for a decent stay overall. However, the noise from the reception area was quite disruptive—constant door slams and chatter in the mornings made it hard to relax. The soundproofing could definitely be improved; I’d strongly recommend bringing earplugs if you’re sensitive to noise. The neighborhood felt a bit off too—there were shady characters hanging around on the streets and some questionable activity near the park. While the hotel isn’t at fault for the area’s vibe, travelers should do their own research before booking. It’s a solid option for budget-conscious visitors who don’t mind a lively urban setting, but those seeking peace and quiet might want to think twice.

Park Plaza Wallstreet Berlin Mitte

Staying at Park Plaza Wallstreet Berlin Mitte was a delightful surprise. The hotel is impeccably maintained and located in a surprisingly quiet part of the city center—perfect for those who want convenience without the noise. Even though the price point is reasonable, the quality of the rooms and overall service exceeded my expectations. The staff were efficient and courteous throughout my visit. My only minor note was that the air in the room felt a bit dry, but using a humidifier helped. I appreciated the central location—everything from public transit to major attractions was just a short walk away. Overall, this was an excellent stay, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Berlin.

Minimal Hostel No 41

This is my second stay at Minimal Hostel, and I’m now fully convinced it will always be my go-to choice when visiting Berlin. The place is cozy, quiet, and perfectly minimalist—exactly what I look for in a hostel. The beds are comfortable (though the pillows could be softer), and each has a personal light and lockers nearby, which is super convenient. The common area features a large table where you can work or relax in a calm, welcoming atmosphere. Downstairs, there’s a spacious bathroom with huge, clean showers—always spotless. Everything about this hostel feels thoughtfully designed, from the layout to the attention to detail. It’s not just affordable—it’s an exceptional value. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, no-frills stay in Berlin. Can’t wait to come back!
