Staying at Merlynn Park Hotel was absolutely worth every penny—especially with kids in tow. The hotel is incredibly baby-friendly, with a play area both in the lobby and near the restaurant, so my little one never got bored. Facilities are top-notch: a lovely swimming pool, live music on Sunday nights that added such a warm, festive vibe. Our room was spacious, spotless, and refreshed daily—bed sheets, towels, carpets, even the bathroom were all meticulously cleaned. We specifically requested a Monas view room, which came with a free crib and a sweet little anniversary decoration setup—such thoughtful touches! The service throughout was exceptional. On our last evening, it was just me and my child for dinner, and the staff went above and beyond to help us—bringing food, setting everything up, and making sure we felt welcome. Special thanks to Mbak Dinda, who made our night memorable with her kindness. My son loved the balloons they gave him and was beaming the whole time. Breakfast was fantastic too—huge variety including Indonesian, Middle Eastern, and Italian options. For families, there’s no need to worry about baby meals; plenty of porridge choices available. All in all, this stay didn’t cost even $1,000, yet felt luxurious. If I ever return to Jakarta, this is definitely where I’ll book again.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and functional. However, the breakfast was underwhelming—limited options and not very flavorful. What really stood out negatively was the check-in payment process. When I paid in person at the front desk, I was charged significantly more than what I had booked online, and they couldn’t issue an official invoice on the spot. This caused some hassle afterward trying to sort things out. Definitely would recommend booking through a platform next time to avoid these issues. Despite that, the convenience of the location and the solid service make this a viable option for travelers prioritizing accessibility and value.
