Though we didn’t meet Carla in person, she responded promptly and warmly via WhatsApp whenever we reached out. Antonella, the housekeeper, was incredibly kind and attentive. The only minor issue was some mosquitoes, but the platform had already provided effective protection. Overall, it was an exceptional experience. I’d return to Villa Aida in a heartbeat.

All this happened while we were standing outside in 34°C heat, waiting with our two heavy suitcases. To make matters worse, we had to carry everything up three flights of stairs to a flat without air conditioning—something that wasn’t mentioned anywhere before booking. As someone who’s lived in Italy for over 20 years (my wife is Italian), I know what to expect when traveling here, but this was still an exhausting experience, especially for us in our mid-seventies. That said, the apartment was clean and located in a very convenient spot—our only positive takeaway.
