Our stay at Fera Palace Hotel was absolutely unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, Leandro greeted us with such warmth and energy—his passion for Salvador truly shone through, making us feel instantly welcome. Bruno went above and beyond by thoughtfully organizing a surprise birthday celebration for our friend, showing incredible care and attention to detail. Every staff member we met was kind, attentive, and genuinely dedicated to making our experience special. The rooms were spacious and impeccably designed, with beds so comfortable we almost didn’t want to get out of them. The rooftop pool and bar offered breathtaking views of the harbor—perfect for relaxing with a drink in hand. As food lovers, we were blown away by the quality and creativity of the cuisine. We also indulged in a massage with Margot, who delivered an incredibly soothing and professional treatment. Even though we only stayed two nights, it felt like we’d already become part of the Fera family. The hotel’s rich history, prime location, and exceptional team made our time in Salvador truly magical. We can’t wait to return. It’s rare to find such a peaceful yet vibrant atmosphere in a city like Salvador. This place offers comfort, charm, and great value—all wrapped up in a cozy, authentic Brazilian experience. Would absolutely stay again.
Beach Front Village
Absolutely avoid this place—leaving felt like escaping a nightmare. This isn’t a hotel, more like a hostel with zero standards. Upon arrival, my booked room had no working air conditioning, and the neighboring unit was under construction—noise so loud it felt like it was inside our room. We asked to switch, but the only available room was a queen-sized bed, so we reluctantly shared it with my husband and 13-year-old son. Then came the worst part: I was in Salvador celebrating a dear friend’s birthday, and she was supposed to stay at the same hotel so we could all be together. When she arrived during a heavy downpour, she discovered her room had been reassigned to us—and she had nowhere to stay. Shocked and heartbroken, she said, 'It’s my birthday!' The owner, Cristiane, replied coldly: 'You’re not getting a room here.' 😱😱 My friend ended up staying with friends, but Cristiane didn’t offer help—no Uber call, no support, nothing. We had no choice but to stay. The next day, we found out breakfast wasn’t included—it cost 37 BRL per person—and again, no courtesy or compensation offered. No face towel, no bath mat, and on Sunday night into Monday, one of the bars played music at ear-splitting volume until 4 AM, then started again at 7 AM. On our final night, there was no hot water for showers. Pure hell. If you value peace, comfort, and basic decency—run away from this place. Don’t let anyone stay here. It’s not worth it.

The rooms are spacious with a small private terrace—perfect for morning coffee with a view of the bay. Breakfast is served at a nearby pousada just a short walk away, on an outdoor terrace overlooking the water. It’s a delightful way to start the day, surrounded by local charm and sea breezes. Overall, this place strikes the perfect balance between comfort, location, and authenticity. Highly recommended for travelers who appreciate a personal touch and a relaxed vibe.

Location-wise, it’s perfect for tourists: all major attractions are within walking distance, making sightseeing effortless and enjoyable. One thing to note for guests with mobility concerns: request a ground-floor or street-level room in advance, as there’s no elevator and several flights of stairs lead up to the rooms. That said, every other aspect of the stay was exceptional. Huge thanks to the team at Pousada Bahia Morena and to everyone in Salvador for creating such a memorable experience—we’ll be back!
