The sofa bed in the room made it feel instantly like a family suite—super comfortable and spacious. It was also the first time our child slept alone in a room, marking a small but meaningful step toward independence. We booked through a platform, and the rate was great for the quality. This was our third stay in Singapore, and Shangri-La stood out for its excellent Chinese-speaking service—many staff members were fluent in Mandarin, making communication easy and welcoming. Stayed at Ibis Styles Singapore on Macpherson and had a great experience overall. While some front desk staff speak Mandarin, even when none were available, the team was very patient using translation tools to communicate—no issues at all. The booking was split across multiple reservations, but if rooms are available, it would be helpful to just ask to continue staying in your original room instead of checking out and back in again—it saves time. There’s free drinking water available at both the restaurant and ground floor area, so no need to boil water in-room, which is super convenient, especially with kids or for those who drink a lot of water. The location is also close to the MRT station, making it easy to get around the city. Overall, excellent value for money and highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable stay.

Staying at ST Living - Chinatown was one of the best decisions I made for my trip to Singapore. It’s the perfect middle ground between hostels and hotels—private space without the high price tag. I stayed for four nights and honestly didn’t want to leave! The location is unbeatable; walking to Merlion Park takes less than 10 minutes, and you can easily explore the vibrant streets of Chinatown on foot. The bed was spacious enough for a good night’s sleep, and I felt secure throughout my stay. I especially appreciated the separate male and female zones in the shared areas, plus there were dedicated makeup spaces—very thoughtful. Check-in is completely self-service via an app, and unlocking the door from your phone is super convenient—no more worrying about losing a key card. It wasn’t anything fancy, but it was the kindness behind it that truly mattered. The room was serene and perfect for relaxation. A small suggestion: more coffee pods and tea options would be great—there were only four of each, so we had to keep calling for refills. Other than that, everything was excellent. I already know I’ll be back next Christmas for a family gathering. This place has a special charm and delivers on comfort, care, and value.
