There’s a large shopping mall nearby, plus several supermarkets like Migros, Lidl, and Coop—all within walking distance. The apartment itself is clean, well-maintained, and offers contactless check-in, which was a big plus for us. We appreciated the convenience and privacy without any hassle. Great value for money, comfortable stay, and perfect for travelers who want both comfort and practicality. Definitely planning to come back!

There were plenty of entertainment options available, so we never ran out of things to do during our downtime. The kitchen featured a high-quality espresso machine—perfect for that morning caffeine fix. The towels were soft and clean, and the laundry service was outstanding: fast, reliable, and delivered right back on time. Everything felt thoughtfully curated. This place offers great value and a truly relaxing urban retreat. I’d definitely recommend it and plan to return.

The bathroom is large and modern, and there’s a washer and dryer on-site, which made laundry stress-free. My unit even had a private balcony where I enjoyed morning coffee while watching the city come alive. The location is unbeatable—just a 500-meter walk left from the building to the train station, making travel around Zurich effortless. Budget Youth Hostel
The staff was extremely unfriendly and gave zero flexibility regarding early check-in. I arrived at 1 PM, but check-in wasn't until 4 PM. Instead of allowing me to wait in the common area or offering to store my bags, they just left my luggage sitting around the facility and told me to leave and come back later. This was one of the worst hostel experiences I've ever had. The place is cheap and clean, which is a plus, but the facilities are basic and nothing is done to encourage guest interaction or socializing. It felt very impersonal and unwelcoming—definitely not worth it for the price.

I only stayed one night at Swiss Star Apartments Aemtlerstrasse, and unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. Upon arrival, there was no staff to assist with check-in, and the same lack of service carried through to checkout. We had to find our own room, and when we did, the door was actually left open—this raised serious concerns about security. The cleanliness was a major issue: the microwave and kitchen area were poorly maintained, and I found hair stuck in the shower drain. The only positive aspect was the low price, but given what’s offered, I can’t recommend this place at all. For the quality and condition, it’s simply not worth it.

We were really happy with our experience and would definitely consider returning.
