It’s incredibly convenient, whether you’re walking or hopping on the metro. The space was spacious, clean, and well-equipped for our group of five—no complaints at all. The location is ideal: right on a busy street with shops, cafes, and supermarkets nearby, so everything we needed was within reach. Customer service was quick and helpful—we sent a message via chat and got an instant reply. Everything about this stay exceeded our expectations. If you're looking for comfort, convenience, and a great base in Barcelona, this apartment is a top choice. Highly recommended!
AB Montjuic
The location of this apartment is excellent—just a short walk from the metro and central Barcelona, making it super convenient for exploring the city. However, the experience fell far short of expectations due to several serious issues. The building’s thin, old walls made noise from the street, passing trains, and noisy neighbors impossible to ignore—especially since our neighbors were partying every night right outside the window. The check-in process was a nightmare: we were asked to submit passports via email, followed by 25 back-and-forth messages through the AB Appartement Barcelona platform. Despite sending multiple messages on Airbnb during our drive into Barcelona, we received no response. Eventually, we found the company’s address ourselves and learned we were supposed to sign a contract—something we never received, and the app didn’t direct us to it. After finally getting the paperwork done and the key, we arrived at 3:15 PM. Right after settling in, a cleaning staff member walked straight into the apartment through the elevator—no knock, no warning—and took a watermelon from the fridge. Then at 4:25 PM, another man showed up unannounced to fix the shower, explaining he was part of the maintenance team. When we questioned why the issue wasn’t addressed between checkout (11 AM) and check-in (3 PM), they admitted it was their mistake and apologized. We also raised concerns about unauthorized access—apparently, staff members have keys too—but were told there was nothing they could do. The safe didn’t work at all, and we only got a reply two days later saying it was broken. We also found a cockroach and a spider in one of the bedrooms. Wi-Fi was weak and only usable near the kitchen or living area. There weren’t enough utensils for four people, so we had to wash them by hand after every meal. Only one dishwasher tablet was provided for the entire stay, and we even received an email asking us not to use too much water in the kitchen and bathrooms. The elevator opening directly into the apartment is convenient but extremely unsafe—especially when it’s old, shaky, and makes loud, screeching noises that echo throughout the unit at any time of day or night. It’s unsettling to hear someone using it while you’re trying to relax or sleep. Overall, despite the great location, the lack of privacy, poor communication, substandard facilities, and safety concerns make this stay very stressful. Not recommended unless major improvements are made.
