Staying at Buena Vista Motor Inn was a really pleasant experience overall. The location is fantastic—quiet, safe, and just a short walk from the marina and several key attractions. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful, even late at night. They went out of their way to assist with parking when things got busy, and handled package deliveries smoothly and efficiently. The only downside was the carpet in our room, which stayed cold and damp throughout our stay due to a leaking air conditioner. We brought it up, but were told it's 'normal'—a bit disappointing, especially since the moisture spread across half the room. That said, we managed by simply wearing shoes inside, so it wasn’t a dealbreaker. For a great value, excellent service, and a peaceful setting, this place definitely earns a solid recommendation.

Just a 10-minute walk to Fisherman's Wharf’s Pier 39 and the cable car terminus—perfect for exploring the area without needing to rely on transportation. Along the way, you’ll pass an In-N-Out Burger, which is a nice bonus if you’re craving a quick bite. Right next to the cable car station, there’s a CVS for any last-minute essentials. We took a short taxi ride from the hotel to Fort Point National Historic Site at the Golden Gate Bridge—only about $15 and under 15 minutes. The location truly offers the best of both worlds: easy access to major sights and all the amenities you’d want right outside your door. If you're visiting San Francisco, this is definitely a top choice for comfort and convenience.
