We stayed at Rosa Et Al Townhouse in Porto with my wife and our 1.5-year-old daughter for two nights in November 2025, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. The location is perfect—walking distance to the city center, and everything we needed, from cafes to attractions, was just around the corner. The room itself was a standout—unlike any standard hotel room, with a unique, artistic interior that feels more like a stylish private home. The bathroom fixtures are original and vintage, adding character, and the wooden floors creak slightly when you walk on them. Honestly, this wasn’t a flaw—it gave the space charm and authenticity. From what we gathered from the staff, the owners intentionally keep the old flooring because they see it as part of the property’s heritage. Breakfast was excellent: fresh, well-prepared, and full of local flavors. The coffee was especially good—rich and aromatic. Overall, it’s not just a place to sleep; it’s an experience. If you’re looking for something different, intimate, and full of character, this is a must-try.

Stayed for four nights in June and absolutely loved it. The location was perfect—just a short walk from the metro station, making travel to and from the airport super convenient. Our apartment was on the top floor of a beautifully renovated townhouse, complete with a spacious balcony overlooking a quiet garden. The space felt cozy and well-designed: comfortable bedding, a compact kitchenette, a comfy sofa, and a clean, functional shower area. Even the small hairdryer was a nice touch—always appreciated! We arrived early and were given the room right away, which was a pleasant surprise. While the apartment is up a few flights of stairs (the wooden staircase with a skylight at the top was actually a highlight!), it added a bit of charm and kept us active. The neighborhood was fantastic—plenty of supermarkets, shopping centers, cafes, and a lively food market nearby. A 3-day transport pass made it easy to hop on the metro and buses when we didn’t feel like walking, especially since we were a bit outside the main tourist hub. That said, being just far enough out gave us a great balance—we could easily dip into the city center when needed, but also enjoy quieter, local vibes. We’d already explored the heart of Porto before, so this stay felt like a relaxed retreat with plenty to discover nearby. Carla, the staff member, was incredibly helpful and welcoming—always ready to assist. Overall, a standout experience with excellent value and a unique urban-chic vibe.

The stay was excellent overall! The room was incredibly comfortable and spotlessly clean, with a great location just a short walk from the city center—perfect for exploring Porto. We stayed on the fourth floor, which was a bit of a drawback since there was no elevator, but it didn’t ruin the experience. Breakfast was served early due to our train departure, so we missed out on enjoying the fresh croissants that hadn’t been set out yet—would’ve loved to savor them. Despite that small hiccup, everything else was top-notch. Friendly staff, quiet atmosphere, and a welcoming vibe made this a memorable visit. Definitely recommend staying here if you're looking for a cozy, well-located base in Porto.

When I returned, I asked Kalif if I could enjoy one final sunset from the viewpoint—he not only said yes but brought me a glass of wine and joined me for the moment. It was such a heartfelt and memorable way to end my stay. Every room is thoughtfully designed, and every team member goes above and beyond with kindness and genuine hospitality. This place feels like home. I’ll definitely be back the next time I visit Porto.

This apartment was easily one of the best stays we've ever had. The photos on the platform matched exactly what we found—plus a few extra surprises! The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed: cookware, dishes, utensils, and even little extras like spices and condiments—all in perfect condition. The directions were incredibly detailed, complete with clear photos that made finding the place effortless, especially when arriving by public transit. Located just steps from the city center, it's ideal for exploring Porto without hassle. We loved every moment here and will definitely return. A top-tier choice for anyone visiting!
Miragaia House
This place was absolutely perfect! During our six-day stay in Porto, we explored the city center thoroughly and found Miragaia House to be in the most ideal location we could have hoped for. The room was tastefully simple with a cozy charm—featuring a small kitchenette and fridge that made storing local delicacies like cheese, ham, and port wine incredibly convenient. While the street along the riverfront can get busy during the day, it was peaceful at night thanks to excellent double glazing. The bed was incredibly comfortable—perfect for a good night’s sleep after a full day of sightseeing. Breakfast was outstanding: fresh fruit, yogurt, warm pastries, bread rolls, cured meats, cheeses, and eggs cooked exactly how you wanted them. Marta, Zuly, and their team were incredibly friendly and helpful—always ready to offer tips or assist with anything. We’ve already decided this is our go-to choice for Porto, and we’ll definitely be back!

Staying at PortoSense Ribeira was an absolute highlight of our trip to Porto. The location is unbeatable—literally steps away from the heart of the city’s charm, and we never felt the need to go far. Watching life unfold below from our private space was unforgettable. Hosts Christina and Filipe were incredibly responsive and helpful—from arranging airport transfers to giving us tips on navigating the narrow streets and avoiding traffic restrictions in the square. They even helped us store our luggage when we arrived earlier than expected. The queen-sized bed was super comfortable, and the elevator that goes straight to the door made getting in and out a breeze. (Just keep in mind: no elevators on the steep streets above!) One thing to note: there's no air conditioning, so we had to keep windows open during hot nights—while this brought in fresh air, it also meant some noise from the lively square, especially on weekends. Tall guests might find the shower area a bit tight. But honestly, these are minor trade-offs for such a perfect location and well-designed space. We loved walking along the Ribeira every day, strolling past the Palácio da Bolsa and up Rua das Flores. And don’t miss Miss Pavlova just across Rua de São João—only a 3-minute walk away. Their breakfast offerings are fantastic, and their pavlovas? Absolutely divine. This apartment isn’t just a place to stay—it’s part of the experience.

Staff went above and beyond with their friendly, attentive service—always smiling and ready to help. Breakfast was fantastic: a generous spread of fresh pastries, fruits, local cheeses, and hot dishes. Even better, they welcomed us with a large bottle of mineral water upon arrival—a small but thoughtful touch. Everything about this stay felt personal and exceptional. For a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and hospitality, this hotel is unbeatable. I’ll definitely be coming back.

The bathroom was spacious, spotless, and had strong water pressure, making the shower experience truly relaxing. Breakfast was a highlight: diverse, delicious options ranging from local specialties to classic continental fare. It was satisfying and made my mornings better. Overall, this place offers outstanding value and a welcoming atmosphere—I’d definitely come back.

Staying at Mayor's Apartments in Porto was an absolute delight. The building is beautifully restored, with three floors and a convenient elevator—just four steps to reach the top floor. Located in Zone 1, right in the heart of the historic city center, it’s just a short walk from the iconic Clerigos Tower. Our host Pedro was incredibly proactive and always ready to help with any request. The second-floor apartment was modern, spotless, and smelled fresh—perfect for a comfortable stay. It featured a spacious living area with a kitchenette and sofa bed, a cozy double bedroom, and a stunning marble bathroom with a generously sized shower (though the tile flooring could be slightly slippery at times). Furniture was high-quality, and linens and towels were provided—excellent attention to detail. One small suggestion: having a bottle of water in the fridge upon arrival would make guests feel even more welcomed. If arriving by car, avoid the underground garage at Jardim de Cordoaria—it’s expensive at around €80 per day. Instead, head to CC Bombarda/Parquet do Carregal, only about a 10-minute walk away, where parking costs just €15 daily and is covered and open 24/7. Just note that payment must be in cash. Overall, if you're looking for a central, stylish, and well-located place to stay in Porto, this apartment complex is a top choice. Highly recommended!
