The poolside snack bar served burgers and light bites for one day but was completely closed for two others while we were at the pool. Instead of service, we found scattered food remnants where birds were feeding, and no staff appeared to clean up. Only late in the afternoon did someone show up to collect the trash—but they didn’t even wipe down the counters or clean the grills. These lapses are hard to overlook for a resort that markets itself as top-tier. Despite these shortcomings, the rest of the stay was fantastic. I explained that disputing the charge would trigger Citibank to freeze my card and issue a replacement—but since I live in Mexico, it would take five weeks to get a new one. That’s a huge hassle. Thankfully, Citibank understood the situation and credited the $50 today. Still, this whole experience was a major time-waster for someone with a packed schedule. If you’re looking for a stress-free stay, this isn’t the place. You decide.
