Hotel Suramericana
The hotel's location is excellent—right across from the Suramericana metro station, making it super easy to explore Medellín using public transit. Just a two-block walk away, you'll find three supermarkets and several currency exchange shops, all within easy reach. It's incredibly convenient for getting around the city and enjoying local life. This place offers great value and comfort—highly recommend for travelers who want to be in the heart of the action.

Hotel Poma Rosa
Our stay at Hotel Poma Rosa was generally positive despite a minor check-in issue that was quickly resolved by the front desk staff. The hotel is located in a convenient area with easy access to public transportation and plenty of dining options nearby—great for exploring the local scene. Rooms were clean and well-organized, and the overall atmosphere felt welcoming. The only downside was breakfast, which was quite basic with very limited choices—more like a simple snack than a proper meal. That said, considering the price point, it was still a good value for money. If you're looking for a budget-friendly option in Medellín with a central location and a relaxed vibe, this hotel is worth considering. Just be prepared for a no-frills breakfast and plan to eat out, which actually works in its favor given how many restaurants are within walking distance.

I've stayed here before, but this visit was truly outstanding! The new management has completely transformed the hotel—everything feels upgraded. The breakfast is now much better, with a wider variety and improved quality. The beds and mattresses are incredibly comfortable, making for a restful night's sleep. Staff are friendly, attentive, and professional throughout the stay. The room was spotlessly clean, with no detail overlooked. Located just steps from the metro, getting around Medellín is super easy. This place offers excellent value and I’ll definitely be back.
Hotel Confort Obelisk
Staying at Hotel Confort Obelisk was one of the worst experiences I've had in Medellín. The staff were unfriendly and unhelpful, and the cleanliness was absolutely terrible—rooms were filthy, with stained linens and visible dust everywhere. The blankets were covered in hair, and the overall condition made it feel like a complete waste of money. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone, even if you're just passing through. Avoid at all costs.

Mirador de San Joaquin
The hotel is well located, making it easy to get around Medellín, especially with public transit nearby. However, I was surprised to find out upon arrival that the room doesn’t have air conditioning—just a single fan, which isn’t enough for more than two people. It got really uncomfortable in the evenings, especially during warmer days. The night staff member seemed unfriendly and unapproachable; making small conversation felt like a chore because of her cold expression. Even worse, the room didn’t come with basic amenities like soap or toiletries, despite what was listed online. It’s frustrating when expectations don’t match reality. Overall, the experience fell short on both comfort and service. A few improvements in facilities and staff attitude could go a long way in raising guest satisfaction.
Hotel Ayacucho Real
I stayed at Hotel Ayacucho Real in Medellín and was really disappointed. The suite felt outdated, with terrible soundproofing—every noise from the hallway carried through the walls. Despite booking for two people, there was only one towel provided, no sheets or blanket to cover up, and I ended up shivering all night. There was barely any storage space, so half of our belongings were scattered on the floor. It took over five minutes just to get hot water running, and the bathroom had no mirror at all. The Wi-Fi was so unreliable that I had to buy a local SIM card just to stay connected. Even more unsettling was when the housekeeper opened my door without knocking—no warning, no respect. No coffee available at reception, and the internet situation was still awful. The staff seemed indifferent and unfriendly. Honestly, this hotel feels like it doesn’t care about guests’ comfort. I’m not a picky traveler, but this place is far below expectations. I wouldn’t recommend it.
