Highly recommend for anyone visiting the city!
Hostal Pura Vida la 70
Staying at this hostel in Medellín was a disappointing experience overall. While the location is convenient and close to the city center, the room itself was far from satisfactory. The air had a musty smell, and the space felt dirty despite the clean appearance of the common areas. There was no air conditioning, which made it unbearable during the hot nights. The shower faucet was loose and required fixing just to turn on—very inconvenient. Noise was another major issue; music and loud conversations continued until 4 a.m., making it impossible to sleep. I stayed for two nights and paid $170, which felt completely unjustified given what was offered. The staff were polite and helpful at reception, but that didn’t make up for the poor quality of the room and lack of basic amenities like breakfast. I’ve stayed in many hostels across Colombia, big and small, and this one ranks among the worst. For the price and condition, I’d definitely not recommend it—especially if you’re looking for a peaceful place to rest.

What really stood out was the Turkish massage bathtub—after a long day exploring Medellín, soaking in it was pure bliss. The attention to comfort and unique touches made this stay unforgettable. Highly recommend for travelers seeking a quiet, well-equipped retreat with a touch of luxury.
