Everything you need to know about Castle Hill

Provence Garden Hotel is a top choice, located just a 5-minute walk from Castle Hill Park. With its Mediterranean-style architecture, the hotel features panoramic terraces overlooking the Bay of Nice. Guests enjoy sunrise views over the Côte d'Azur and evening vistas of the city’s glowing skyline. Many rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows, while select suites offer private balconies with unobstructed sea views.

Another standout is Château Hill Villa, a historic property nestled in Old Town Nice. Its rooftop terrace is renowned as one of the best viewpoints in the city, perfect for photography or romantic dinners. Both hotels provide complimentary shuttle services to downtown, ensuring easy access to restaurants, shops, and attractions. Ideal for travelers seeking charm, comfort, and breathtaking scenery.

The easiest way is to take Bus Line 12 or Tram Line 38, both stopping just steps from Castle Hill Park entrance—just a 10-minute ride to Cours Saleya Market and Cours Mirabeau. For a more scenic option, descend via Rue de la Mère de Dieu, a 15-minute walk to Place Masséna, passing charming cafés and art galleries along the way.

The park also features a free accessible elevator connecting upper and lower levels, ideal for seniors and strollers. Use the Nice Côte d'Azur Transit App for real-time schedules and optimized routing.

For a local experience, rent a Vélo'v bike from the station outside the park—just 12 minutes to the city center, passing through Rue Grasse and the Jewish Quarter, offering a vibrant taste of daily life in Nice.

Must-try activities include morning yoga sessions (held every Wednesday and Saturday on the viewing platform, led by certified instructors with sea breeze and city skyline views); nighttime light art exhibitions (annual summer event combining projections and ancient ruins for an immersive light show); and Mediterranean herb tasting tours guided by local farmers through the park’s medicinal garden, where you’ll learn to identify lavender, rosemary, and thyme.

The park also features a family picnic area and children’s interactive sandpit, perfect for kids. Every Friday evening hosts outdoor jazz concerts against the backdrop of Nice Harbor’s night lights and the Eiffel Tower-style lighthouse—a truly romantic setting.

Book tickets in advance, especially during peak season, via the Nice Tourist Office official website. Nearby workshops on ceramics and French pastries offer deeper cultural immersion into Provençal traditions.

Château Hill Villa is the top choice for honeymoons, featuring private terrace suites with panoramic views of the Bay of Nice and the Monte Carlo lighthouse. At night, candlelight and starry skies create a dreamy atmosphere. The hotel offers custom wedding packages, including outdoor ceremonies, champagne welcome, and dedicated butler service.

All rooms come with whirlpool bathtubs and French mattress beds, plus complimentary handcrafted chocolates and rose petal arrangements.

Another excellent option is Provence Garden Hotel, whose honeymoon sea-view suites feature smart lighting systems that adjust to your mood, paired with double spa baths and 24/7 room service. Both hotels are within a 5-minute walk of the Promenade des Anglais, perfect for morning strolls and sunset dinners.

Reserve at least three months in advance to secure preferred rooms and special amenities.

Novotel Nice Arénas Aéroport

Arrived in Nice late at night and chose this hotel since it's the closest to the airport—definitely a smart pick. The free shuttle service made everything so smooth: after landing, I just called the front desk through the platform, mentioned which terminal I was in, and they arrived within 10–15 minutes. For departure, the shuttle runs every half hour—just show up at the front desk 10 minutes before departure, no stress. The room was spacious with a separate toilet and shower area, very clean and well-maintained. There’s a water dispenser on each floor near the elevator, which is super convenient. Plus, the hotel is incredibly quiet—perfect for a good night’s sleep. Getting into Old Town Nice is a breeze: just walk to the nearby train station, buy a ticket, and take a one-stop ride. Super easy, fast, and affordable. Overall, this hotel offers excellent value and great convenience, especially for travelers with early flights or late arrivals.

The Deck Hotel by Happyculture

This was hands down the best stay of my trip to Nice! The location is perfect—just a short walk or quick metro ride to the beach. The room was incredibly quiet, making for a peaceful and restful night’s sleep. The decor has such a charming Provençal vibe that really captures the spirit of the South of France. I was pleasantly surprised by the thoughtful touches like complimentary slippers—small details that make a big difference. And the breakfast? Absolutely outstanding—fresh, abundant, and delicious. Honestly, it's hard to find a hotel in Nice with such a great breakfast included at this price point. This place is a true value gem. I’m already dreaming about coming back!

Villa Bellabé

We came to Nice for my niece's wedding and were looking for a cozy place near family, something more personal than a standard hotel. A friend recommended Villa Bellabé, and we couldn’t be happier with our choice. The host, Christina, welcomed us with such warmth and a bright smile—immediately putting us at ease. Nestled among lush greenery and a peaceful garden, our room was pure charm: spotless, inviting, and thoughtfully designed with a small kitchenette and a stylish Italian shower in the bathroom. Everything was perfect—no complaints at all. They even provided shampoo, conditioner, body wash, coffee, tea, bottled water, and fresh linens that were soft and refreshing. Breakfast the next morning was an absolute highlight: fresh baguettes, croissants, chocolate croissants, chouquettes, butter, jam, multivitamin juice (perfect since I’m not a fan of orange juice!), cheese, and Nutella—just what you need to start the day right. But beyond the comfort and amenities, what truly stood out was Christina’s genuine hospitality. She goes the extra mile with little thoughtful touches and local tips that made our stay feel special. We loved it so much, we’re already planning to return soon!

Residence Club Inn

My wife and I stayed for four wonderful days at this fantastic property, just a short walk from the city center and the seaside promenade. The location is unbeatable—perfect for exploring everything Nice has to offer. The hotel offers all the amenities needed for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation. One highlight was the parking arrangement: we paid a small daily fee for a covered, secure underground spot, which made life so much easier—no more stressing about finding a place to park in the narrow streets of Nice. Plus, there’s a shared kitchen available for guests to cook meals, with a cozy dining area right next to reception. There’s also a free coffee machine offering espresso, cappuccino, hot chocolate, and milk—available anytime without extra charges. It’s such a thoughtful touch! Everything about our stay was excellent. Highly recommend this hotel for travelers who value convenience, comfort, and a home-like atmosphere.

Hotel Villa les Cygnes

We absolutely loved staying at this charming boutique hotel tucked away in a quiet alley just steps from the city center and the Mediterranean Sea. The tram stop is only a few minutes’ walk away, and the peaceful surroundings mean zero noise disturbance—perfect for a relaxing getaway. Regine went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, treating us like family. The bedding was incredibly comfortable, the room was well-equipped with everything we needed, and the overall condition was excellent. With only four rooms, it truly feels intimate and personal. This is a standout choice for travelers seeking a quiet, authentic experience in Nice—highly recommended!

Hotel le Saint Paul

Staying at Hotel le Saint Paul was a great experience overall. The location is excellent—just a short walk from the city center and close to restaurants, shops, and tourist spots. The hotel itself is modern and well-maintained, with clean, stylish rooms. While the room size is modest and slightly smaller than shown in the photos, it’s still comfortable and functional. The staff were friendly and helpful, which made the stay even better. The only downside is finding the entrance—it’s tricky if you’re driving. The main gate is on the roadside, but it’s set at an angle, and the narrow street has two large trash bins blocking the view, making it easy to miss. A small sign or slight repositioning of the bins would help a lot. Despite that, the hotel offers great value for money and is definitely worth considering if you're visiting Nice.

The hotel is spotlessly clean, well-maintained, and offers all essential comforts—especially the fully equipped kitchen, which made daily living so much easier and more convenient. I particularly appreciated the complimentary luggage storage service on check-out day; it was a thoughtful touch that made my departure stress-free. Located right on a central pedestrian street in Nice, the hotel is perfectly positioned for exploring the city on foot—shops, restaurants, and public transport are just steps away. I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to fellow travelers looking for comfort, convenience, and a great vibe.

This charming little gem truly has everything you need! The owner couple was incredibly warm and welcoming—always smiling, helpful, and genuinely interested in making our stay comfortable. What stood out most? A private parking space—an absolute rarity in the busy city of Nice. No more stress searching for a spot! The room was clean, cozy, and thoughtfully furnished, with all the essentials you’d expect from a well-run family-style hotel. It’s perfectly located—just a short walk to public transit and within easy reach of the city center.
