The barbecue restaurant right downstairs is fantastic—flavorful and affordable. And next door, there’s a little steamed bun shop that serves some of the best soup dumplings I’ve had in Shanghai. Only minor downsides: the power outlets aren’t very conveniently placed, especially if you’re using a travel adapter—it’s a bit awkward to plug in things. Also, while the window opens, it faces a closed wall with no view. But honestly, since we were here mostly for convenience and not sightseeing, it didn’t bother me much. All in all, great value, excellent location, and a solid choice for travelers looking for a quiet, reliable base in central Shanghai.

Even with high demand at The Club Lounge, staff still offered gracious, low-bow service to members—such a nice touch. The welcome fruit and breakfast were both delicious and well-prepared. And the view? Absolutely breathtaking. The Bund skyline is stunning day or night—definitely worth every moment spent by the window. I’ve already taken countless photos and can’t wait to come back. Despite arriving during peak check-in time around 3 PM, there was no chaos or long lines—everything was smooth and efficient. Even more impressive? My bags never touched my hands again—they were taken straight up in the elevator to my room. That’s what true luxury service looks like.
