The outdoor hot tub in the courtyard was a real highlight, and the hairdryer was a high-end Remington—solid choice, though a Dyson would’ve been the cherry on top given the price point. What really stood out was the nightly turndown service; it felt personal and thoughtful, clearly reflecting the brand’s commitment to luxury hospitality. Breakfast at Mingyue Restaurant was solid, but lunch didn’t quite match the standards I’ve come to expect from places like Mandarin Oriental or Langham’s fine-dining spots in Shanghai. The fitness center felt a bit dated—equipment was basic—but honestly, most guests aren’t here to work out. Outdoor jogging paths are excellent, though. And then there’s the private beach—this was the main reason I booked. The landscaping is beautiful, and the resort feels expansive and peaceful. Right outside the front door is the Menguang Longlou walkway, where you can stroll along the beachfront. While the waters of Sanya Bay aren’t as crystal clear as those in Yalong Bay, it’s still lovely for a relaxed walk, watching locals enjoy the seaside vibe. Overall, the service, food, and atmosphere made this stay truly memorable. A top-tier experience with excellent value.
