I explained that disputing the charge would trigger Citibank to freeze my card and issue a replacement—but since I live in Mexico, it would take five weeks to get a new one. That’s a huge hassle. Thankfully, Citibank understood the situation and credited the $50 today. Still, this whole experience was a major time-waster for someone with a packed schedule.
