From the Bell Centre, access the city center via the Montreal Underground City (RÉSO) network—just a 5-minute walk to Place d'Armes Metro Station. Take the Green Line or Yellow Line for a 10-minute ride to key destinations like Old Montreal, the Museum of Fine Arts, and Notre-Dame Basilica.

Additionally, CITI Buses offer dedicated shuttles connecting the Bell Centre to major hotel clusters, running every 15 minutes with night service available. Using an Opus Card grants multi-system discounts, making travel both efficient and cost-effective. The Underground City serves as Montreal’s central transit hub, greatly enhancing visitor mobility.

Beyond hockey games, the Bell Centre hosts major concerts and entertainment events. Book the Pink Room Experience in advance for a private suite with panoramic views and curated snacks and beverages.

Another highlight is the Ice Rink Tour, open to the public on non-game days, featuring interactive history exhibits tracing the legacy of the Montreal Canadiens. Guests may also attend player meet-and-greets, complete with photo ops. These experiences blend sports heritage with immersive entertainment, creating unforgettable memories for fans of all ages.

Yes, several hotels near the Bell Centre provide airport transfer services. Direct shuttles run between Montréal-Trudeau International Airport (YUL) and the venue, operated jointly by Hyatt Regency and Marriott Montreal, with multiple daily departures at $45 CAD per trip.

Premium room packages often include complimentary transfers, requiring a 24-hour advance reservation. All services support English and French, with air-conditioned vehicles offering ample luggage space. Additionally, STM Electric Buses connect the airport to metro stations, enabling easy transfers to the Bell Centre—offering a cost-effective and eco-friendly option. Dedicated airport shuttles are essential for comfort and convenience.

Another excellent option is Holiday Inn Montreal Downtown, situated near McGill University and Old Montreal, offering easy access to the Bell Centre via walkable routes and public transit. The hotel features an indoor pool and fitness center, perfect for extended stays.

For drivers, Quebec Highway 13 leads directly into downtown, but parking can be limited during large events. It’s recommended to reserve a spot in advance.

Alternatively, Vélopop' bike-sharing stations cover surrounding areas—riding from Old Montreal or Île de Montréal takes only 10–15 minutes. Cycling offers an eco-friendly, scenic route, especially recommended on non-event days to avoid traffic congestion.

Beyond watching Montreal Canadiens hockey games, consider joining a Old Montreal walking tour to explore French architecture and historic neighborhoods, showcasing the city’s rich cultural blend.

In the evening, visit Plateau Mont-Royal’s outdoor bars for local Quebec craft beer and smoked salmon tapas.

Also nearby are Notre-Dame Basilica and the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, perfect for a half-day cultural itinerary that delves into the city’s artistic and spiritual heritage.

Holiday Inn Montreal Downtown is highly recommended for families, offering family suites, kids’ play area, and 24-hour room service, plus proximity to Montreal Science Museum and Zoo.

Chateau Versailles

The Chateau Versailles exceeded my expectations in every way. The actual hotel looks even more beautiful than the photos—elegant, historic, and impeccably clean. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making our stay truly comfortable. The only minor note is that there’s a slight sound when walking on the floors, but it's barely noticeable and doesn’t take away from the overall experience. The location is fantastic—just a short metro ride into downtown Montreal. With such charm, comfort, and value, this place feels like a hidden gem. I’d absolutely stay here again.

LIV Mtl Soho

We absolutely loved our stay at Liv MTL - Soho in Montreal! The apartment was spotless, cozy, and beautifully designed—perfect for a relaxing getaway. The rooftop terrace was a real highlight; spending time up there with a drink in hand, enjoying the city views, made the whole experience even better. It’s such a great spot to unwind after a day of exploring the neighborhood. The only minor issue was that one of the outlets in the bathroom wasn’t working, but it didn’t detract from the overall excellent experience. With its prime location, modern vibe, and welcoming atmosphere, we’d definitely book again. Highly recommend for travelers looking for comfort and convenience in the heart of Montreal.

Royal Victoria College Residence

Staying at Royal Victoria College Residence was a surprisingly good experience for the price. Located just two blocks from McGill Metro and bus stops, it's incredibly convenient for getting around Montreal—perfect for students or budget travelers. The room is dorm-style with shared bathrooms, but the affordability makes up for it: we paid only about one-third of what other hotels charge. Our large room had two single beds, two desks, a spacious walk-in closet, and a small fridge—very functional for short stays. The main downside? No air conditioning. During a July heatwave, the first night was unbearable without fans—no units were available initially, and the room felt stuffy and hot. Luckily, we managed to rent two fans (one per person), which made a huge difference when pointed toward our beds. The windows had no screens, but we were lucky—no mosquitoes on the 5th floor. Facing University Street, there was some street noise, but it was manageable, especially with the fans running. The shared bathroom included two showers, one toilet stall, and three sinks with mirrors. There’s also a separate bathroom with a tub (though it looked rarely used), a sink, and another toilet. Despite sharing the area with a few other guests, we never had to wait for showers in the morning or evening. Towels, hand towels, washcloths, and a bar of soap were provided, though there was no daily towel refresh service. Overall, this was a solid stay given the low cost and unbeatable location. If I return, I’d definitely bring my own fans and mentally prepare for no AC—otherwise, it’s a great value option.

They made the process seamless and stress-free, which meant a lot after a tiring journey. The location is fantastic—close to public transit and all the city’s best spots. Clean, modern, and thoughtfully designed, this place offers excellent value for money. I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Montreal, whether for business or leisure.

Alt Hostel

This was my first time staying at a hostel, and honestly, it was an unforgettable experience! Montreal is ridiculously expensive during peak season, especially for accommodations, so this place ended up being the most affordable option I could find—two nights cost me over $700 USD, which isn’t great but still better than most alternatives. The location is super close to downtown, making it easy to explore nearby spots like Notre-Dame Basilica, walk through McGill University campus, and even hike up Mount Royal. I stayed in a 10-person mixed dorm with three girls and four guys—only one girl seemed to be from Hong Kong, while everyone else was white travelers. On the first night, I was so exhausted that I started snoring loudly, which apparently woke someone up. A girl gently complained, and wow, I felt instantly embarrassed. I quickly apologized: 'Sorry if I snore again, please just wake me up!' She said 'Thank you' and went back to sleep—though I could tell she was a little resigned. Thankfully, by day three, I bought a train ticket to escape the situation (literally!), and finally got some peace and quiet. Definitely not a long-term stay, but a decent short-term option if you're on a tight budget and just need a base to explore the city.
