Sky Apartments Rentals Service

My stay at the Sky Apartments in Moscow-City (57th floor, The Empire Tower) was extremely disappointing. The worst part was the deposit issue—during booking, we were told it would be 10,000 rubles, but upon arrival, they demanded 20,000 rubles with no prior warning. Since our group size was known from the start, they should have clearly stated the higher fee upfront. To this day, the deposit has not been refunded—money still hasn’t returned, which is unacceptable. Another shocking charge was 1,500 rubles just to move a bar from the fridge. I wanted to place it myself in a cabinet—no extra work involved—but they charged me anyway. That’s absurd and shows how much they’re profiting off guests’ small requests. The staff showed zero respect from the beginning. We were scheduled to meet at 2:30 PM, but had to wait over an hour with luggage—reception finally appeared at 3:00 PM. At that point, we were already rushing for a major event, so every minute counted. Their lack of punctuality was infuriating. The access system was also confusing—security staff kept mixing up guest lists, forcing us to waste time clarifying details. The apartment’s technical condition was poor: one floor-standing air conditioner was broken, its leg snapped, making temperature control impossible on the 57th floor. Despite repeated complaints, staff only gave empty promises and ignored the issue for hours. The karaoke system constantly malfunctioned—the microphone would cut out repeatedly, completely ruining the party atmosphere. The room itself needed serious attention: one refrigerator didn’t work, the interior looked outdated, and bedding took forever to arrive despite prior request. Yes, the view from the 57th floor is stunning—but that single positive can’t outweigh all these major flaws. Rude staff, disorganization, technical failures, and total disregard for guest experience make this a terrible choice. I absolutely do not recommend this property for events or extended stays, especially given its prestigious location in central Moscow. It’s hard to believe such poor service exists in one of the city’s most upscale areas.

They responded quickly, handled everything professionally, and kept me calm throughout the wait—so reassuring that I actually fell asleep on the lobby sofa while waiting. This is a business-style serviced apartment, and overall, it’s impressive. Daily cleaning is done thoroughly, the room is spotless, the kitchen and fridge are fresh with no odd smells—really feels like home. Just a 400-meter walk away, there are two supermarkets (one big, one small), so cooking your own meals every day is super easy. That kind of convenient location made our trip so much easier, especially considering how affordable it was—prices like this are hard to find even in St. Petersburg. The room was spotless and cozy, cleaned daily. Everything you’d need was included: towels, bathrobes, toiletries, hairdryer—all neatly laid out. The Wi-Fi was strong and reliable; I had smooth video calls with my husband and daughter at night, no buffering or audio issues. The entrance is by call-only, which adds a nice touch of privacy and security. We dedicated one full day to exploring the city center, and because the hotel is so close, we didn’t feel exhausted when we returned. We still had energy left to take a nighttime stroll and enjoy the magic of Moscow after dark. I can't recommend this hotel at all—our experience was extremely disappointing and deeply unsettling. While the location is convenient, just a short metro ride away, the service was appalling. The front desk staff was rude and dismissive, with no regard for basic customer respect. Later, a manager named Sergey reached out, claiming he wanted to understand the situation—but his real goal seemed to be persuading us to delete our negative review. He even tried to shift blame onto me, suggesting I was at fault for the incident. When we explained that we had to cancel due to a family member’s sudden heart attack—well in advance (12 days prior), and with full prepayment for four nights—he insisted the rate was non-refundable and that our circumstances didn’t matter. He cited a message stating, 'By choosing a non-refundable rate, you accept all risks—you’ll never get your money back, even if something serious happens.' We sent medical documentation, flight tickets, and booking details as proof of the emergency, but he still refused to refund us, saying the evidence wasn’t sufficient. This contradicts Russian consumer protection laws: when services aren’t provided due to unforeseen circumstances, refunds are legally required. There was zero empathy, no understanding, and no humanity in their response. Instead, they offered a voucher in exchange for deleting our feedback—like we were the ones who caused the problem. This kind of behavior feels predatory. We’re now preparing to file a police report and take legal action for fraudulent practices. Please, avoid this hotel. Don’t let them profit from your trust. Choose a place with integrity, compassion, and transparency instead.
