Casa de Ana - Habitación Privada

The private room at Casa de Ana was comfortable and clean, which made for a pleasant stay overall. However, we were disappointed that hot water wasn’t available throughout our entire stay—this was especially inconvenient during the cooler evenings. The property also had noticeable noise from the street and neighboring areas, making it hard to sleep peacefully at night. Location-wise, it’s not the most appealing; the neighborhood feels a bit run-down and lacks charm. That said, if you're looking for a budget-friendly option in Cancun and don’t mind these drawbacks, it could work as a basic overnight stop. Just be prepared for some compromises.

Mura Hotel Boutique

Absolutely loved my stay at Mura Hotel Boutique! The location is perfect—just a short walk from the beach and downtown, making it super convenient for exploring Cancun. The staff are friendly and speak excellent English, always ready to help with any request. The hotel itself feels brand new, spotlessly clean, and incredibly comfortable—especially the beds, which were some of the most relaxing I’ve ever slept on. Every detail was thoughtfully done, from the modern design to the quiet, peaceful atmosphere. This place truly delivers on comfort and quality. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a stylish, hassle-free getaway in Cancun.

Pako Stays Cancún

From the moment we arrived, it was clear the property didn’t match what was shown in the listing. The photos were misleading—real conditions were far worse, especially regarding cleanliness and maintenance. The walls were stained, and overall upkeep was poor. Most concerning was a large section of the wall beneath the living room air conditioner missing—very noticeable and a serious safety hazard. The bathroom window couldn’t be locked, which felt risky in a city like Cancun. Key amenities were also non-functional: the stove wouldn’t work, and the provided lighter failed to ignite, making cooking impossible. Our airport transfer wasn’t properly assigned to our name, causing a long delay in finding the place after landing. We were also disappointed that the welcome gift mentioned in our confirmation email never arrived. The shower door was broken and kept swinging inward during use, forcing us to improvise with towels just to make it usable. Even more frustrating was arriving on time, only to be delayed by a cleaning staff member who brought her child and didn’t allow entry until 4 PM—completely unprofessional. While they required a gate code and insisted on downloading an app that accessed personal devices, these measures didn’t feel secure. In fact, the windows had rusty bars and were clearly insecure. I tried reaching out before leaving to report issues and request early check-out, but received no response. Later, I contacted the platform directly for help, but got no resolution either. This lack of communication and support from management made the entire experience extremely stressful and disappointing.

Hotel Avenida Cancun

The hotel is conveniently located just a short drive from the airport—about 30 minutes by car, and they offer complimentary shuttle service, which made my arrival stress-free. The overall environment is clean, well-maintained, and welcoming. The lobby has a modern yet cozy vibe, and the room was spacious with comfortable bedding and excellent air conditioning—perfect for beating the tropical heat. I appreciated how close it was to local restaurants, shops, and convenience stores; everything I needed was within walking distance. What stood out most was the great value for money—excellent quality without the premium price. If I’m back in Cancun, this will definitely be my go-to choice again.

Hotel Casa Mallorca

The stay was absolutely wonderful—I ended up extending my booking by one extra night because I didn’t want to leave! Everything about the hotel was top-notch, from the clean and quiet rooms to the exceptional hospitality. The owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming, even offering a laundry service—such a thoughtful touch. Despite being located right next to a busy street, the room remained peaceful and well-insulated. Daily cleaning was done with care, and two bottles of water were always left for me each day. It’s rare to find such attention to detail and genuine warmth in a place like this. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Cancun—this is more than just a hotel, it’s a home away from home.

Habitación Potter

Staying at Habitation Potter was a refreshing change from the typical resort-style hotels in Cancun. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making our experience feel personal and warm. I especially appreciated that the location wasn’t in the crowded hotel zone—instead, we were tucked into a quiet, safe neighborhood with plenty of local restaurants and cafes nearby. It felt more authentic and gave us a real sense of being in a Mexican community. One minor downside: the Wi-Fi signal was weak in our upstairs room, so we had to rely on our phone’s hotspot for reliable internet. Also worth noting—there’s no coffee available on-site—but don’t worry! Just a short walk away, we found a cozy little café with excellent coffee and great vibes. Overall, this place offers a unique, local flavor with solid value for money. Perfect for travelers who want to step off the beaten path and enjoy a more genuine stay in Cancun.

Studiotel Cancún

Studiotel Cancún was an absolute delight from start to finish. The staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and genuinely willing to accommodate our needs—no hesitation at all when we had special requests. It felt personal and thoughtful. The room matched exactly what was shown online, which is rare these days, so no surprises upon arrival. The property feels recently renovated—clean, modern, and well-maintained, making the whole experience feel fresh and comfortable. Any minor issues were addressed quickly and efficiently, showing great responsiveness. The only small downside? The exterior signage isn’t very clear, but it’s still easy to find once you’re close. It’s a bit far from downtown, so taxis can add up, but its proximity to the airport makes it perfect for early departures or late-night arrivals. If you value convenience, comfort, and friendly service, this hotel delivers. Highly recommended for travelers looking for a reliable, hassle-free stay in Cancún.

The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, always going the extra mile. It's also super convenient with an Oxxo store and pharmacy just steps away, so you're never far from essentials. Perfect location, great vibe, and outstanding value—definitely a top pick if you're visiting Cancun.

Amaxing Cancun Airport

This isn’t a hotel—it’s more like a guesthouse, and honestly, the experience fell far short of expectations. The only positive was the clean and secure environment. However, since the owner lives on-site, they refused late check-in, forcing us to reschedule our arrival date, which caused unnecessary stress. When we arrived, we were shocked: we booked for five people, but were given a room that only accommodates four—photos clearly show how small it is. We also paid extra for breakfast, but had to leave by 7 a.m. due to our flight, while breakfast wasn’t served until 8 a.m. Despite asking for a takeaway or packed meal, they declined entirely. No flexibility at all. It felt like a waste of money. We were extremely disappointed with the overall service and lack of consideration for guests’ needs.

Sky Inn Hotel - Cancun

The overall experience was excellent—especially the high-tech access system that lets you enter with just your phone, which is super convenient and modern. That said, I’d recommend adding a security guard at the entrance for added peace of mind, even though the area is generally safe. The building’s entrance could use better lighting, as it’s quite dim and makes the approach feel a bit eerie at night. Despite that small concern, the hotel offers great value, great location, and a really smooth stay. Definitely coming back.

Hive Cancun by G Hotels

Staying at Hive Cancun by G Hotels was an absolute delight! The room was spacious and well-designed, with a private balcony offering stunning views of the ocean—perfect for morning coffee or sunset moments. Natural light floods in through the large windows, making the space feel bright and airy. The staff went above and beyond with their friendly, helpful service—always smiling, ready to assist, and genuinely attentive. Even with Cancun’s blazing heat, having a fridge in the room made all the difference; it was great to keep drinks cold and refreshments handy. Location is convenient, close to everything you’d want without being too far from the beach. It’s rare to find such a perfect blend of comfort, style, and hospitality—highly recommend this gem!

Habitación Privada en Centro de Cancún

Just a quick heads-up for travelers: while the hotel itself is conveniently located, I strongly advise being extra cautious when using the ADO bus terminal in Cancún city center. On the afternoon of February 4th, 2023, I was boarding a bus to Chiquila at the crowded terminal when someone stole my purse—containing cash and credit cards—right in front of me during a surge of passengers. I screamed for help, but no staff responded, as if I wasn’t even there. Afterward, they only told me to go report it to the local prosecutor’s office, which I did. These thieves are very organized—they watch their targets long before boarding, assess whether you’re traveling alone or with others, and pick the perfect moment to strike, especially during the chaos of boarding. They’ll push or jostle you right when the crowd is dense. It’s scary how vulnerable you feel with zero police presence. Please, always keep your valuables secure, avoid carrying large amounts of cash, and stay alert—especially in high-traffic areas. Your safety comes first.
