Nhc MEX Centro Historico

This hotel is an absolute steal for the experience it delivers. If you're looking to soak in some old-world charm with a touch of historical depth, this place nails it—without sacrificing modern comfort. The interior design strikes a perfect balance between classic aesthetics and contemporary functionality, making every corner feel thoughtfully curated. One thing to note: like many local hotels in Mexico, toothpaste and toothbrushes aren’t provided, but that’s a small trade-off given how much else this property offers. The location is unbeatable—just steps from the main cathedral, making it ideal if you’re planning to join the Day of the Dead festivities. Plus, there are cozy little breakfast spots nearby that give off such a relaxed, authentic vibe. The photos in the gallery (images 2 and 3) were taken right from the hotel windows—capturing the real heartbeat of the neighborhood. Truly a gem in the heart of historic Mexico City.

Novotel Mexico City Centro Historico

Staying at Novotel Mexico City Centro Historico was an absolute delight. The hotel is perfectly located right in the heart of the historic district, with major attractions just a short walk away—no need to worry about transportation at all. What really stood out was the authentic Chinese dumpling restaurant right on the ground floor; the food was delicious and truly reminded me of home. I’ll definitely be choosing this hotel again for my next business trip. Excellent value, great location, and a fantastic dining option—all in one!

Hotel Punto MX

Staying at Hotel Punto MX was an absolute highlight of my trip to Mexico City. I booked a room with a bathtub, and it exceeded all my expectations—spacious, clean, and very well-maintained. The hotel is perfectly located near Zócalo Square, surrounded by historic sites, restaurants, and easy access to public transit. Whether you're craving fast food or local eats, there's something for everyone nearby: McDonald's, Starbucks, KFC, and even a Sukiya—all within walking distance. A supermarket is just around the corner, making daily essentials super convenient. What really surprised me was the staff’s language skills; one front desk agent spoke fluent Japanese, which totally caught me off guard! Even if English isn’t your strong suit, communication was smooth and welcoming. The room itself was spacious, with excellent shower pressure and consistent water temperature—no sudden spikes or drops. One minor note: the walls are a bit thin, and due to the lively local culture, some noise from neighboring rooms can be heard occasionally. But honestly, that didn’t detract much from the overall experience. Mexico City feels safer than many other major cities in North America, and I’d definitely recommend it to fellow travelers from Japan and beyond. A fantastic choice for comfort, location, and value.

Hotel San Lucas

Staying at Hotel San Lucas was an absolute delight. The price is incredibly fair for the quality and location, making it a standout choice. The staff went above and beyond with their warm, attentive service—always smiling and ready to help. The breakfast buffet was fresh and satisfying, with a nice mix of local flavors that made mornings enjoyable. What really sets this hotel apart is its proximity to the famous Mercado de Artesanías in Mexico City—just a short walk away, perfect for exploring vibrant markets and picking up unique souvenirs. Public transportation is super convenient, with a metro station right outside the door, so getting around the city is seamless. And despite being in a lively area, the rooms are remarkably quiet at night, allowing for a peaceful and restful sleep. It’s rare to find such a well-balanced blend of comfort, convenience, and value. I’d highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Mexico City—especially travelers who want to be close to culture, shopping, and transit without sacrificing peace and quiet.

The dorm rooms were spacious and incredibly comfortable, with solid beds that made for a great night's sleep. Each bed came with its own privacy curtain and small shelf—perfect for keeping personal items close while maintaining a sense of space. The Wi-Fi was strong throughout the entire hostel, working smoothly both in common areas and inside the rooms—no dead zones, which is a huge plus. The showers were outstanding: hot water came on instantly, and the water pressure was excellent. After a long day of exploring by metro, stepping into a warm shower felt absolutely rejuvenating.
