Umbral, a Curio Collection by Hilton

The hotel is a bit off the beaten path, but overall it's a great stay. The lobby has a stylish design with a cozy vibe, and the room was clean, quiet, and comfortable—especially the bed, which made for a restful night’s sleep. The staff were friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with any request. Even though it's not right in the city center, it's easy to get around via metro, and the value for money is excellent. Definitely considering coming back.

My Place Donceles

Staying at My Place Donceles was an absolute delight! The location is perfect—just a short walk from the metro and right in the heart of Mexico City, making it super easy to explore everything nearby. The apartment itself is clean, well-maintained, and surprisingly spacious for a city stay. I especially loved having a full kitchen—great for preparing meals and saving money while traveling. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the whole space felt welcoming and cozy. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our visit, making check-in and check-out smooth. It's rare to find such great value in a central location, and I'd definitely book again if I return to Mexico City. Highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and a home-away-from-home vibe.

Hotel Principal

The room was on the smaller side, but surprisingly well-designed and efficient in its layout. What really stood out was the breakfast—fresh, delicious, and full of local flavors. I especially loved the traditional Mexican dishes that added a real authentic touch to my morning. The hotel is perfectly located for exploring downtown Mexico City, just a short walk from the metro station. Despite the compact space, the overall experience was excellent, and the value for money was outstanding. I’d definitely stay here again on my next visit.

Mexico City Hostel

This hostel truly stood out for its cleanliness and prime location right in the heart of the historic district. Being just steps away from shops, restaurants, nightlife, museums, and iconic landmarks made exploring so convenient. The neighborhood buzzed with energy on weekends—great for evening outings, but if you're planning an early morning tour, definitely bring earplugs to block out the late-night sounds. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, going above and beyond to make guests feel welcome. There’s a shared kitchen where you can cook meals and store leftovers in a communal fridge—perfect for budget travelers who want to save money on food. The only downside was the mattress, which felt extremely firm—almost like concrete. While comfort is subjective, I personally struggled to get a good night’s sleep throughout my stay. That said, it’s a minor issue compared to the overall great experience. With such a fantastic location, friendly team, and practical amenities, this place offers excellent value and is definitely worth considering.

Hostel Mundo Joven Catedral

This hostel is an absolute gem in the heart of Mexico City! Right in the center, it's incredibly easy to get to museums and attractions—just a short walk or quick metro ride away. Breakfast is included from 8 to 10 AM, and it’s surprisingly good for a hostel: fresh, filling, and perfect to start the day. On arrival, I got a free margarita voucher for the rooftop bar on the sixth floor—sipping cocktails with panoramic city views at sunset was pure bliss. I asked for a lower bunk, and they accommodated me right away—super accommodating. The front desk also offers free luggage storage, which came in handy before my late check-out. Plus, I received a 15% discount coupon that made dinner at the on-site restaurant feel like a steal compared to fast food options. The fifth-floor lounge and kitchen area are fantastic—clean, spacious, and even have filtered drinking water. Everything you need for a comfortable stay, all in one place. Honestly, this is one of the best value hostels I’ve stayed at in Latin America. Highly recommend it to any traveler visiting Mexico City!

Hotel Habana

Hotel Habana is an absolute gem with incredible value for money. While the room only comes with a fan instead of air conditioning, the overall atmosphere more than makes up for it—authentic Mexican charm throughout, from the decor to the vibe. The location is super convenient, just a short walk from metro stations and right in the heart of Mexico City’s lively neighborhood. There are plenty of great local eateries nearby, so dinner options are endless. Staff are friendly and welcoming, and the lobby feels like a cozy art gallery. Cadillac Hotel Boutique

Staying at Cadillac Hotel Boutique in Mexico City was an absolutely delightful experience. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment I arrived—always smiling, helpful, and eager to assist with anything I needed, whether it was local recommendations or booking a table at the on-site restaurant. The hotel’s location is perfect: just a short walk from the metro station, making it easy to explore downtown Mexico City. The rooms are stylish and thoughtfully designed, blending modern aesthetics with local art touches that give it a unique character. I slept like a baby—the mattress was firm yet comfortable, and the room was quiet and well-insulated. Small details like eco-friendly toiletries and thoughtful lighting made a big difference. Overall, the service, comfort, and ambiance all earned a solid 10 out of 10. If I’m ever back in Mexico City, this will be my go-to choice. Highly recommended for travelers who appreciate charm, convenience, and genuine hospitality.

Pension Zocalo

Staying at Pension Zocalo in Mexico City was an average experience overall. Located right in the heart of the city, it's super convenient for getting around by metro and close to restaurants and shops. The location is definitely a plus, and the price point offers decent value for money. However, the actual property didn't quite match what was shown online—rooms were smaller than expected, and the decor looked more worn than the photos suggested. The staff were friendly but not particularly attentive. There were some noticeable issues: the air conditioning was noisy, and soundproofing between rooms was poor. If you're looking for a no-frills, budget-friendly base with good access to downtown attractions, this place might work. Just be aware that the reality doesn’t fully live up to the images—seeing it in person before booking is highly recommended.

Public transit is super convenient, and everything you need is within easy reach. With such a prime location and excellent value for money, this place offers more than what you’d expect at this price point. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a great stay without breaking the bank.
