Staying at Hyatt Regency Chongming was a truly delightful experience—exactly what I expected from a well-established five-star property. The room was spacious, impeccably clean, and incredibly comfortable, with a perfect blend of modern amenities and quiet elegance. The staff went above and beyond with warm, attentive service throughout our visit. Breakfast was generous and satisfying, especially the fresh-made egg pancakes with youtiao—so crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy inside, it was an absolute highlight. In the evening, we tried the single-serving half-buffet hot pot at the grill restaurant, and it was fantastic—well-balanced flavors, fresh ingredients, and just the right portion for one person. Even better, we were surprised with a complimentary box of vegetables upon check-out—a thoughtful little touch that made the stay even more memorable. This hotel offers excellent value, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Shanghai’s Chongming Island.
