Had an absolutely incredible time at Grand Park Royal Cancun! I brought my two teenage daughters for a relaxing getaway, and it turned out to be one of the best vacations we’ve ever had. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and the beachfront location is just stunning. It’s not just a place to sleep—it feels like a little urban oasis. I’d definitely book here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Cancún.
Hotel Handall Cancún
Hotel Handall is perfectly located in the heart of Cancún, just a block away from Chedraui, pharmacies, restaurants, and a bus stop heading straight to the hotel zone. The hotel’s café serves delicious food at very affordable prices, though it closes at 5 PM—luckily there’s a 24-hour convenience store right outside for late-night needs. The place feels quiet and mostly empty, which actually worked in our favor—we stayed 8 days and had the small pool all to ourselves for 5 of them. That kind of privacy is rare and appreciated. The rooms are spotless and well-maintained, but the front desk staff were quite serious and not very welcoming. Still, if you’re looking for a clean, low-key stay with easy access to everything, this hotel delivers great value without the touristy crowds.

The hotel is conveniently located near the city center and close to public transportation, making it easy to explore Cancun. However, there's definitely room for improvement. The room was functional but felt dated—bedding wasn't very comfortable, and the mattress was quite firm. Water pressure in the shower was weak, which made for a less-than-ideal experience. Staff were polite but not particularly responsive when assistance was needed. While the price point is reasonable for budget travelers, the overall quality doesn’t match the comfort level you’d expect. If you're looking for something basic and affordable with no frills, this could work. But if you’re aiming for a more relaxing stay, consider other options. A few upgrades in furnishings, maintenance, and service would go a long way.

The shared spaces, especially the pool area and co-working zone, are thoughtfully designed and really enjoyable to use. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist with any request. The only small downside? It can get a bit noisy at night due to nearby bars and events. If you’re a light sleeper, bring earplugs. Overall, this is a fantastic choice for digital nomads and young travelers who want convenience, great atmosphere, and a friendly environment. I’d definitely stay here again on my next visit to Cancun.

The rooftop pool is a real highlight, perfect for cooling off under the sun. My only minor issue is the loud music coming from the bar throughout the day, which might not be ideal if you're looking for a quiet retreat. That said, the overall experience is excellent—great value, friendly staff, and a lively atmosphere that makes it a fun place to stay. Definitely recommend for travelers who enjoy a bit of buzz.

The air conditioning works perfectly, and the shower delivers strong, consistent water pressure, making for a refreshing experience. While the rooms are basic, they’re well-maintained and functional, exactly what you’d want for a relaxing stay. Located just minutes from public transit, it’s easy to get around town, and there are plenty of local restaurants nearby. I had a great night’s sleep and would definitely book again if I’m back in Cancún.
Renaissance Cancun Resort & Marina
Staying at the Renaissance Cancun Resort & Marina was a fantastic experience overall. The location is unbeatable—there’s a direct walkway connecting the hotel to the shopping center, so you can grab snacks, souvenirs, or just relax without stepping outside. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I slept like a baby. Breakfast was delicious and offered a great variety of options. While the sauna requires booking a day in advance (and slots fill up fast), other amenities like the pool and beach access were excellent. Staff were friendly and attentive throughout. The only minor downside is the absence of a bathtub, but honestly, that didn’t bother me much. Overall, it’s a well-designed resort with top-notch service and convenience—perfect for a relaxing getaway.
