The furniture was in excellent condition, and all the amenities were well-maintained and fully functional. What stood out most was the incredible value for money—this place felt much more luxurious than the price suggested. The location is also very convenient, with easy access to public transit and plenty of great dining options nearby. I’d definitely book again if I ever return to Cancun.

Hotel Handall is perfectly located in the heart of Cancún, just a block away from Chedraui, pharmacies, restaurants, and a bus stop heading straight to the hotel zone. The hotel’s café serves delicious food at very affordable prices, though it closes at 5 PM—luckily there’s a 24-hour convenience store right outside for late-night needs. The place feels quiet and mostly empty, which actually worked in our favor—we stayed 8 days and had the small pool all to ourselves for 5 of them. That kind of privacy is rare and appreciated. The rooms are spotless and well-maintained, but the front desk staff were quite serious and not very welcoming. Still, if you’re looking for a clean, low-key stay with easy access to everything, this hotel delivers great value without the touristy crowds.

Staff were polite but not particularly responsive when assistance was needed. While the price point is reasonable for budget travelers, the overall quality doesn’t match the comfort level you’d expect. If you're looking for something basic and affordable with no frills, this could work. But if you’re aiming for a more relaxing stay, consider other options. A few upgrades in furnishings, maintenance, and service would go a long way.

Overall, this is a fantastic choice for digital nomads and young travelers who want convenience, great atmosphere, and a friendly environment. I’d definitely stay here again on my next visit to Cancun.
